It was me and my mom’s first time going there. It was not busy at all for it to be a weekend but I wasn’t bad at it. the staff was friendly and it was very clean. So me and mom got the crab legs that we shared, then she got the fired shrimp and fries and hush puppies which she said was delicious. I had the shrimp sautéed in garlic and butter it had garlic piece on the shrimp which made it even more delicious in my opinion along with fried and corn which was all good. We definitely will be going back soon to try other stuff.

My partner and I moved to the area a few months ago and after trying many Mexican restaurants in the area were incredibly disappointed. We thought we’d never find a good, authentic Mexican favorite restaurant but thankfully we came across Don Camaron. I know it’s a seafood restaurant but to me it’s a fantastic Mexican restaurant as well. This place has great margaritas as well as great authentic Mexican cuisine. As a Mexican this place has my approval! It’s so underrated and I wish more people knew about it! It never disappoints!

We went here for lunch. We both got lunch specials which are very reasonably priced. I think this was a better experience than harbor inn overall. The food is about what you would expect it to be for a lunch special. The mixed potato’s as a side was the standout good item for us. The fish I got was the disappointing part for me. I think it would be worth trying something for dinner but I’m not sure I would return for the lunch specials.

Dinner was excellent. Had a shrimp cocktail that was different but very yummy.
My husband and I had broiled shrimp and scallops. They were both great. Sides were good.
Good service and nice atmosphere.
We are not close by, but will make the trip to go back.

The food was delicious. Hush puppies with a really nice fry and a hint of garlic. The grilled shrimp was tender and juicy. The catfish was lightly battered and well seasoned. The scallops were small but still quite tasty. The broccoli had a nice firm bite and good freshness. I drank two bottles of Miller Lite and she brought ice cold mugs for each beer. The restaurant was very clean and a bit quaint . Log cabin interior with sea themed artwork. The chairs were comfortable. A family place but I enjoyed it with my wife.

I had an amazing experience at Don Camaron Seafood Restaurant in Roanoke, VA. The moment I walked in, the atmosphere was clean, warm, and inviting — you can tell they take pride in every part of the restaurant.
I ordered the seafood broil, and let me tell you… it was phenomenal. The crab legs were so tender they slid right out of the shell with no effort — absolutely perfect. Every bite was bursting with flavor, and you could taste the freshness in each piece of seafood.
The service was excellent too. The staff was friendly, attentive, and made sure everything was just right throughout the entire meal. It’s refreshing to dine somewhere that combines great food with genuinely great customer service.
If you’re in Roanoke and craving seafood, Don Camaron is a must-try. I highly recommend it — it’s easily one of my new favorite spots!

My wife and I enjoyed a delicious seafood meal! The service was very pleasant, the quality of the food was great, the variety of the menu was impressive, the restaurant was clean and cared for, and the price reasonable for what was offered.
The only sad thing was in my reading of one review prior to my arrival, which came from a intentionally created proflie to wrote just one review telling lies about the restaurant. I knew not to believe it because they obviously had created a new profile for the purpose of hiding their true identity, but my experience at the restaurant proved I was right.
Special shout out to Laticia who was fabulous and the chef who took a special order for me. THANK YOU for a great experience!

The entire staff was incredibly welcoming and friendly. We were greeted promptly and seated. The food is good and definitely affordable. We got the catfish, fried scallops, salad, slaw and lobster bisque (pictured). The different potato types served were awesome.
