1. The best hot dogs in the tristate area
2. The ladies that run this establishment are so kind that it makes you feel like your mom is serving you a home cooked meal full of love
3. The prices are hard to beat especially for the quality. I give a 25% tip every time and even with that, I’d still pay more at a McDonalds

Get the NY hot dog well done add american cheese and you’ll be in heaven

Enjoyed lunch here with my employees for the first time today. We had an awesome and fun waitress, the fries were great shoe string style. The burger was tasty and the hot dogs were great. Would recommend this!

Great little neighborhood hole in the wall diner. Breakfast is served all day. Ordered two NYHD dogs, fries, and two pancakes with bacon. Service was quick and friendly, and food was good! They’ll char your dogs if you ask them to, as well.

I wanted to enjoy this place more because the concept is great, but the food fell short of expectations, especially considering the price. The quality of ingredients is quite basic, which wouldn’t be an issue if the prices reflected that. However, charging $8 for two hot dogs with three toppings feels unreasonable when they’re served on inexpensive hotdog buns with canned chili. If the pricing matched the quality, it wouldn’t be such a letdown, as hot dogs are hard to mess up. It seems the local elderly community helps keep this place afloat, but for long-term success, some significant improvements are needed.

Friendly patrons and efficient staff. Food is plain but fresh and good. Definitely love the mom and pop feel of this little diner.

First time here and I’m so glad I stopped! I really enjoyed the food but the service was unreal. They seem to care so much for their customers they knew everyone by name and asked me my name they make everyone feel like family. I made a comment that I’m not a fan of the coated fries they were wanting to make other fries or even get other fries if I was going to come regularly. THAT’S CUSTOMER SERVICE WOW!

This is a hidden gem off of Route 19, Old Perry Hwy. I’ve passed it so many times and figured I’d try it and it did not disappoint!! The staff was awesome, it isn’t real big inside but I was only ordering it to go. Also the prices were so reasonable!! I am definitely going back, if you’re looking for a good quick place to eat a hot dog look no further than the New York Hot Dog Shop!!

Have heard this place was amazing for years, finally checked it out and unfortunately don’t feel the need to ever go back. Maybe it’s better for lunch but the breakfast experience was honestly bad. The food was mid at best for the price – the maple syrup is plastic bottle log cabin corn syrup which was so bad I couldn’t even eat my pancakes. This place is clearly not super kid friendly based on our experience. The worst part of it was the service – the main waitress had a major attitude with our table for no reason but the other woman cooking and behind the bar was very kind and friendly. There are just too many other good places to eat breakfast locally to come back.
