Super fun spot. Great game day bar. Really nice place to just chill with your friends. Our soccer teams came here after matches played nearby. Dig it.

We had our Welcome Party before our wedding at Sonya’s and it was absolutely amazing!! I wish I had better pictures, but the back area is a huge space with wooden floors and a beautiful view of the water. Lucas and his team were amazing! They were so quick with the food and their chowder is hands down the best I’ve had in Seattle. All of our guests loved the food and had the best time. The bartender was also great and so quick with the drinks even with a party of over 40. I can’t say enough how impressed we were and will continue to recommend Sonya’s to anyone seeking an amazing space with great food and service.

If you’re craving a burger that’s more than just your average bar fare, Sonya’s Seattle is the place to be. Their burger is not only delicious but also incredibly filling, leaving you satisfied. The fries are delicious! The chicken quesadillas – crispy, flavorful, and so filling I only managed to eat two!

What really sets Sonya’s apart is its vibe. It’s not just a bar; it’s a spacious, chill spot where locals gather to unwind and enjoy great food. When you first walk in, you might think it’s just a cozy spot, but venture further and you’ll discover a whole other area waiting to be explored.

So, if you find yourself in downtown Seattle and in need of a place to relax and refuel, make sure to swing by Sonya’s Seattle. Trust me, you won’t be disappointed.

4.5/5 food, service and ambiance

I almost don’t want to leave a review because it’s a hidden gem of a downtown bar. It’s stellar. Straightforward service and a small but excellent food selection with something for everyone.

We were at the Pike Place Market and looking for somewhere nearby to eat at. We chose to eat at Sonya’s. I got the salad with salmon. It was delicious, the salad was fresh and the crust on the salmon was super good! We also got chicken wings to share, I’m not sure what type of seasoning was used but these were some of the best chicken wings we’ve ever had – loved them!

Not too many people in the restaurant. The vibe is more casual. I saw a group get turned away because one did not have their ID and I felt bad.

About the server, our service was fine. I think we were judged for not getting drinks but aside from that we had no problems. I’m giving 4 stars cause the food was super good but deducting a point based on immaturity from the owner’s comments in other reviews. A little professionalism would be nice. Learn how to take constructive criticism.

This spot is decent. They offer a Manny for $7, and there are only two draft options available. You can find this spot on 1st Ave, just one block east of Post Alley. The crowd is fine, and there is patio seating, although it’s mostly occupied by smokers and homeless individuals asking for money or cigarettes.

The service is neutral, neither great nor terrible, and there’s a TV and countertop bar available. On Sundays, many establishments close early, but this spot stays open, making it a convenient option.

While it’s not my go-to place, it’s still a good choice to grab a beer and watch a football game on a casual Sunday.

I walked here from my hotel with my father as it was near bye. We did not have a drink but did order some food. The food was very good and my soup in particular was amazing.

Pretty good whiskey selection. Didn’t appreciate the bartender mansplaining bourbon to me – in case he’s reading this, it doesn’t depend who you ask, bourdon need only be made in the US, not exclusively Kentucky, to be considered bourbon. Cheers!

bartender Lauren is a delight and mixes the best margarita on the rocks I’ve ever had. And I’ve had a lot, believe you me. Her secret? You’ll just have to go there and order one. The front patio is a dandy place to sit.
