We use to come here every other week for the last few years, since they have switched ownership the food and service has greatly declined. We decided to give them a little break hoping they just needed time to get on their feet. That is certainly not the case we went to try them again after 2 or 3 months and it got even worse, I stood at the counter for almost 10 mins before I even got a hello, both employees were clueless, they didn’t know their own menu, told me my hoagie would take 30 minutes to make and when I proceeded to pay he wouldn’t accept my gift certificates, which is the same thing as cash, which were purchased at this location with their address on it, I canceled the order and we left and will probably never be back as this place is going backwards quick.

We normally are fans, but damn this place has gone downhill. And seeing so many other negative reviews, not surprised. We ordered by phone in advance. And have a bank statement from my dad’s credit card company showing we did order. But there was definitely a screw up on the employee side and we were told we never ordered…so why does our bank clearly say slack hoagies? Your company messed up and didn’t want to do anything to fix it. The manager definitely didn’t wanna do a thing. We waited almost an hour but just gave up. Slack’s, what are you doing that’s causing you to mess up this bad? Your customer service is terrible. #Slacksisslacking

As of Saturday, February 14, 2026, unfortunately, Slack’s is off our list of great hoagie after 15 years of good service to us. My son ordered 6 whole hoagie. When he arrived home he realized he was given 6 half hoagie. He called and the person didn’t apologize for the mistake and told my son that’s what he ordered and my son assured this person that he always order whole hoagie! My son went back to get the rest of his order and told this person that the hoagie were no where near as good as the ones he has been getting for 15 years and the rolls were so hard they crumbled when we bit Into them. This person, who turned out to be the owner, said nothing was different and had a completely, “I don’t care” attitude. Apparently he never made the hoagies my son has been buying and that was my son”s last trip to Slack’s Hoagie Shack.

My hoagie was made sideways so to speak. When I got home I opened the hoagie and I saw onions on top. Lettuce, tomatos and more onions underneath. Then I was looking for the cheese it was in between the slices of turkey. The hoagie just tasted like an onion sandwich. I love hoagies and I will not be going to Slack’s Hoagies Shack ever again…

This is supposed to be a grilled chicken wrap. It’s 99% lettuce. For the price I would’ve expected at least as much chicken as Wawa would give you. The little amount that is in there is sliced thin and is tasteless. What you see of the chicken in this photo is ALL of the chicken in the wrap. Both sides were like this. I used to love Slacks years ago but after this we are not returning. Also ordered a cheesesteak and fiancé said it tasted slightly less tasty than a Wawa one and as he puts it “that’s saying a lot” so all in all we are out and saying goodbye to an old favorite.
Standard style boardwalk fries were delicious. Sadly not enough on its own to return though.

I eat there three times a week, the place changed ownership, I ordered a sausage parm with provolone. The sandwich I received was a roll that was dampened with tomato sauce, with two breakfast sausage links with 1 slice of american cheese. They lost my business. Can’t wait for the Pizza shop to open.

Great food at a great price! The tuna hoagie was stuffed & the seeded roll made it even better! Couldn’t get enough of the potato salad & would definitely recommend their fries!!! So cheesey and delicious!
