We randomly stopped here after church last week and were pleasantly surprised! Pizza was crunchy but doughy at the same time, which was perfect and their ranch is fantastic!! Best part is that they give you ranch in a squeeze bottle!! Why doesn’t every pizza place do that?! It was fun watching the playoff games with other fans…chill atmosphere. It was a little pricey(tiny little cheese bread for $11 was crazy but it was also super delicious)We will def be returning

Super friendly and down to earth staff and owners. Great pizza and killer deals compared to other pizzerias. They also have a decent variety of brews on tap. 5/5 stars definitely recommend checking out their friend and family owned spot.

Came up from San Diego for a birthday party being held there. Great vibe! Owner and staff were super friendly and helpful.
The entire place was rented out for a few hours, so the party was a private event. I would definitely use this location for parties if I lived there. And definitely become a regular customer!!

This is a chill spot, plenty of room for large groups, the food is excellent and they have an additional outside seating area that goes along the side and back of the restaurant with beautiful trees offering people an outside dining experience with privacy. They are a little pricey, but everything I have had has been really delicious, the pizza, the salads, the appetizers, are high quality and the beer selection is on point. Cool River offers both traditional and unique flavors. I found them because it was Taco Tuesday but I was craving Pizza, they offer a Taco Pizza, it was excellent, so I have returned 3 times now to try their other options, and so far nothing has been disappointing. It’s all been excellent. Definitely worth a try, will definitely return. Oh and speaking of privacy they have single use bathrooms, that deserves an extra star in my opinion. This place is the best. The owner Trish is amazing, the pizza is to die for, and the atmosphere is awesome. They have 4 main areas, a bar, a party room, a patio, and the main dining area. Each area has its own great qualities. They have home made wooden games like connect 4, corn hole, and Jenga blocks. They host many great local artists like bands, paint nite, painting and vino, jazz and much more. I truly appreciate this pizza place and the family atmosphere Trish has here. Thank you.

Honestly I live downtown but I come here for the Beer choices. The beer direct tap is absolutely fantastic and the selection is world class. They literally have my favorite beers all the time. It might be a pizza joint but vibe is a drive bar. Because there’s not a dive bars in Rocklin, it could be your place for good beer

Food, service, and ambiance were all amazing! The new owner is very kind and welcoming, and just brings a great energy to the restaurant! The breadsticks were my favorite. So great and so soft – like eating a cloud! Nice and cozy place to sit and chat, and it seems like they have some events coming up! Staff were super nice! I highly recommend!

While we really wanted to love Cool River Pizza, our first visit was less than stellar. The food itself was really good, but we were not thrilled with the business practices.
Upon arrival at around 6:00 on a Saturday, we went to order an Extra Large pizza, but we were told that they were out of extra large dough. The person at the counter offered to have the kitchen stretch a large dough to fit an extra large, but it would be a thin crust. OR we could order 2 mediums.
First, how does a business run out of dough before peak hours on a Saturday? Second, offering us the option of 2 mediums at a 48% upcharge from what would be the original amount, seems almost too advantageous. Maybe if we were offered a discount for the inconvenience?
We placed our order for a large and some bread sticks instead, and sat down. Then, after looking at our receipt, we noticed a 5% surcharge for using our credit card. Nowhere in the restaurant or menu was this noted, nor were we told of this as we were paying. We sucked it up, but at this point, we were feeling pretty irritated.
We didn’t have to wait long for our pizza, and it was delivered to our table by a friendly and courteous employee. He left and we realized we didn’t have any plates, and we needed napkins. We had to get up and ask for those. Not a big deal, but definitely added salt to the wound.
Once we were able to eat, we were impressed with the pizza. The crust and toppings had good flavor and balance. If it were just about the pizza, we’d recommend Cool River, but everything else left a pretty bad taste in our mouths. It just felt lacking in customer service and honesty, which can go a long way, and made our visit disappointing.

Can we talk about that sauce?!? Insanely addictive. Darn good pizza overall. The crust is right between a thin and traditional. Fantastic customer service from the young man at the front. They have a fabulous selection of beers and ciders. I only wish I lived closer to experience this gem more often.
