I normally love to eat here but today was one of worst experience I have had. For the amount of money spend the food should at least be hot. My food was cold I could not feel any heat to wait 30 mins for cold food is unacceptable. I dont know if they have a new cook or if they no longer care about the quality of food being given to customers. The service was not bad and my waiter was very nice. I come here often but after this experience im on the hunt for a new place to eat. How can Dino ribs be cold if they take 30 minutes to cook. The chips with the spinach dip was old as well I could not bite into them. Very disappointed in a place I once love to dine.

Billy’s Let’s Eat Review of 3rd & Cherry on November 1st, 2025
As I have been trying to write this review for several days now, I think it’s one of the harder ones I have written. Let me explain. Our neighbors and I decided that we wanted to go out on the town and have a really amazing meal, not just to eat, we wanted to “dine”. We chose 3rd & Cherry. We went on a Saturday night so we made reservations as suggested.
We were greeted and seated by Eddie (Turns out, he’s the owner) and our server was Isiah. Both of them were welcoming and immediately let us know we were in for an evening. This wasn’t just a simple dinner, this was a dining experience. Exactly what we were looking for.
Here’s where it’s been difficult for me to write about. This is the portion that I usually give “the vibe” about the restaurant. With 3rd & Cherry, it’s nearly impossible! The “vibe” is anything you want it to be. It’s all over the place. The ambiance is contemporary but we quickly realized, this can be anything you want it to be. Date night? A place to celebrate a graduation? A wedding rehearsal dinner? Business meeting? Girls night out? The vibe offers endless possibilities.
As far as the menu goes, they have something for everyone! Steak, Seafood, Traditional Puerto Rican, Italian and salads and so much more. It’s impossible for me to pinpoint exactly what the menu theme is. And honestly, I am here for it. I absolutely LOVED how their menu is all over the place, yet somehow, some way, it comes together in a perfect culinary delight.
The Owner, Eddie, is from Puerto Rico. My partner is also from Puerto Rico. Needless to say, they immediately bonded and were able to speak in their native language, furthering the feeling of “home” at 3rd & Cherry.
Now, let’s get into the food! And before you judge with how much we ordered, there were five of us and we were starving. LOL
Pictures below!
To sum it up, this is a great place to go if you’re wanting to have a special evening with friends, want to try something totally different, don’t know what you want to eat but are craving something amazing, or, you just want to go out and experience some seriously talented people who happen to work in a restaurant in downtown Macon. I have to be honest, this caught me off guard. While I love to eat, this is a place that I can say with no uncertainty, I love to eat at 3rd & Cherry.
Located at 379 3rd Street in Downtown Macon.

If you’re looking for a meal that feels like a celebration, 3rd & Cherry Steak and Seafood Bar delivers every time! I ordered the filet mignon with truffle butter, creamy mashed potatoes, and a side of roasted Brussels sprouts and let me tell you, everything was seasoned to perfection.
The steak was tender and cooked exactly how I like it, the potatoes were silky smooth, and those Brussels sprouts had that perfect char with just the right amount of crunch. The presentation alone deserves applause, but the flavors sealed the deal. The atmosphere was elegant but still warm and relaxed, the kind of place where you can unwind, laugh, and truly enjoy your meal. Perfect date night or self-care dinner spot.

Brought a customer here for dinner. The service was on point from the second I walked in until I paid. We shared the pork belly and salmon dip – both were great. I got the scallops wrapped in prosciutto. They were delicate and cooked perfectly.
All in all, the meal was great

I walk by this spot all the time. And tonight I wanted a nice dinner date spot and decided to come here. I was very surprised the ambiance i thought I was back home in south Florida sitting in a elegant 5 star restaurant. The greeter was so welcoming sat us down immediately. To my surprise after looking at the menu they had mofongo (a very popular puerto rican dish) Order caribbean mofongo w/steak and my husband had the chicken breast. Man o man DELISH..And the chicken was great remind me of a chicken francese. We had to drink a lemon drop martini and old fashion both on point. After speaking with the greater Eddie learned he’s puerto rican and they cook from scratch in the kitchen. They make there own sofrito for the meals. Haven’t found a spot like this yet in my Macon. Will definitely be back a secret jewel. It’s not your typical sit down experience in Macon . Very elegant
Only issue your main courses don’t come with sides. And honestly we didn’t pay attention to that my husband ordered the chicken breast and that’s all he got.
Being our first time maybe if the waitress would of mentioned that we would of added some extra side items to the plate.
But I still give them a five..

So the food was decent. I thought it was fine dining due to the website but when you walk in..it looks like they want to be a sports bar but also a decent dining place. The windows need to be cleaned, the table cloth needs to be cleaned. It wasn’t impressive. The service wasn’t great. I’ve been to nice restaurants before and I’ve been to a few in Macon that are nicer. I’m carribean, the rice with pigeon peas was lacking flavor and it was a little too wet. The filet mignon was good and the yellow plantains were good. The resuming wasn’t great. The waitress didn’t listen well. We had to ask someone else for straws, she also walked off a couple of times before we were done actually talking. I had planned on ordering dessert but that was a turn off on top of the rest of what I mentioned. We made the best out of it, I had a reservation and it was an early dinner for my wife’s upcoming birthday. Probably won’t frequent again. Its really one of those one time experiences for us because it wasn’t as great as expected.

This was not a bad place, but for the prices it could’ve given more. I had the pork ribs as an appetizer and I had the lamb chops. The main meal does not come with size. You literally have to buy the size separately, they don’t have a kids menu, but my youngest was able to eat out the appetizer list which he only received one crab-cake and three shrimps from the two appetizers he received. He didn’t want me to take the pictures of it so that’s why his hand is in the picture, but the food wasn’t bad. I just felt like the main course you should’ve received a side with it for the price. Our waitresses were very nice. I would go back if somebody else paying food or if I just wanna treat myself a night out by myself like I said overall it wasn’t a bad place. That was just some of the things that they could fix, but we were there for an engagement party and it was my youngest birthday as well.

Dining experience was just what we needed. We sought out looking for a good steak and a nice dinner and 3rd delivered. Not only were the main courses (Salmon and Filet) delicious, the sides were tasty. They serve large portions so careful how much you order. The spinach dip was a perfect appetizer. Their Cherry Cobbler was wonderful and fitting for the location. They have the second best Creme Brulee we’ve ever tried. The staff was very welcoming and though we are staying from out of town, treated us like family.

I found this place to take customers and colleagues out to dinner. I eat out a lot and I went in hoping (fingers crossed) this place was good. Let me tell you, this place is worth ALL THE HYPE you see online. Everything we ate was delicious….EVERYTHING! I don’t think there was a single item we all didn’t like. Everything from the fried red snapper, the ultimate porkchop (Chuleta Can – Can), mofongo, the sides, the drinks, the service…….EVERYTHING was 100x better than expected. I don’t live in Macon, but I can tell you I get excited to go back just to visit this restaurant. I rave about it to everyone and cannot say enough good things. Please take the time to visit this local business and enjoy a wonderful evening of great food, great service and beautiful ambiance.
