I dont write reviews. Good is the standard amazing is worth my time. Came on a Thursday randomly to sing. Clientle was very warm and welcoming. Nancy the bartender in the kareoke bar was hands down one of the best bartenders I’ve ever interacted with. The other staff was very warm and welcoming as well.

I’m usually here for karaoke and drinks but today I figured I’d come in for dinner. Wow the food is good! Nice juicy burgers, crispy tater tots, great seasoning on the cheese curds, and last but not least the giant pretzel… giant is an understatement. Can feed about 8 people. Love this place. Happy with the new ownership. They kept a lot of the same things and adding more to the menu and atmosphere.

This place is a hidden gem!! Food is excellent. Entertainment is on point & the staff is always smiling. It’s comfortable & it’s cozy… 120 Live is a whole vibe & Bartlett is super lucky to have it as their “local beer joint”.

I’m incredibly disappointed in how my friends and I were treated at 120 Live. We have really enjoyed coming to 120 live, especially for karaoke nights in the past, which made our experience last night especially frustrating.

This past Thursday around 10 p.m., a group of us (all between the ages of 22 and 30) brought a friend who is visiting from Scotland to 120 Live for karaoke. The bar was not crowded, there were plenty of open seats, and we had already been sitting for a couple of songs when a waitress came over to take our drink orders. She asked each of us for our IDs and examined them closely.

One member of our group presented a valid, horizontal Illinois driver’s license that he has used without issue at other establishments, including 120 Live previously. The ID was not scanned into any system. Instead, the waitress stated that he “didn’t look like his ID” and requested a second form of identification.

When he explained he didn’t have a second form with him, he calmly said it was not a problem and that he would just have a water. At that point he was told he could not remain in the bar past 10 pm even though he was not drinking. There was no attempt to offer a reasonable solution and no clear explanation beyond that statement.

As a result, our entire group left.

We fully understand and respect the importance of checking IDs and complying with regulations. However, refusing service and entry to someone with a valid, state-issued ID without scanning it or providing explanation felt excessive and unnecessary, especially given that the bar was not busy and we were respectful. It genuinely felt as though the waitress was looking for a reason not to serve our group.

We had been looking forward to sharing a fun night with our visiting friend, and instead left feeling confused and unwelcome. We hope 120 Live reviews how situations like this are handled in the future, because we would have preferred to continue supporting a local establishment we’ve had a lot of fun at previously.

120Live provides a great atmosphere for singles, couples, family dinners or groups! We have such a great time there – the owners and staff provide great service and treat us like family! Whether it’s a simple stop by for a non-alcoholic beverage, a drink to end the day with appetizer or popcorn, one of their amazing menu options, or a night out to enjoy music or karaoke – we continue to return for our relaxation time! Great business to support locally!!

I visited this bar for the first time with two of my friends.  The prices for beers are reasonable.  They had eight beers on tap which is a decent selection (includes a few local beer selections like Crystal Lake and Pollyanna).  The service was great and the atmosphere was good.  The food is typical bar food and was average at best.  We ordered the spinach artichoke dip and cheese curds for starters.  The spinach artichoke dip was bland and not up to par with what I would expect.  The tortilla chips that came with the artichoke dip seemed a little too burnt.  The cheese curds were OK and gave us something to nibble on with the beer.  We ordered two large pizzas (one veggie and one with spinach and mushrooms).  The pizzas were average with what you would expect from any bar.

Overall, good service, atmosphere, and beer selections.  This is not a place that I would visit for the food, but I would come here again for the beer and drink selections.

Really disappointing experience this afternoon. I have been an occasional patron of one twenty for years and unfortunately today will be the last time they will receive my business. Went in for lunch and was the only one there, which should have been an indication that I should probably leave. Met two other people, placed our order, and we were waiting a long while for our food. Our waitress/bartender (working the front) was sitting on a barstool and was much more interested in scrolling on her phone than working. Finally, she went to the kitchen to bring out the food and everything was cold because it had been sitting back there for so long. Totally understandable if the place was slammed, but we were literally the only people there. Sent back the wings to be reheated but pretty much everything was inedible. No apology from the waitress, and she resumed scrolling on her phone with her back turned to us. Finally we got tired of waiting to hand her the payment so I had to walk up and give it to her myself. I know one twenty is under new ownership and it looks like there are cameras, perhaps investigate this?
