This was our first time stopping in and we are blown away.
We follow their facebook posts and noticed .50 wings and a $10 sandwich.
It’s cold at the beach so nothing better than eating wings and watching football.
The wings were excellent. The even included the sides, Not like most places that charge you extra for celery and ranch.
My wife had the Hoosier. It was a fried pork tenderloin cooked perfectly and big enough for two.
The menu is unlike any other in South Texas. Can wait to come back and try gumbo and alligator.
Staff is friendly and polite.
Restaurant and restrooms were clean.
Overall beyond expectations.

Pleasantly surprised! Such a fun vibe here and totally different from what it looks like from the outside lol.
DO NOT MISS THE BEIGNETS HERE! They were better than Cafe Du Monde in my opinion. So flaky and soft and just beautiful.
The thai spicy shrimp was a great appitizer; crunchy with a little kick.
I enjoyed the shrimp poboy as well; it felt very much like a comfort meal, specially with those amazing fries.

I have to say I grew up in the valley on Blackbeards SPI and Joe’s oyster bar in Port Isabel. I have to say I’ve never eaten better shrimp in my life. I’ve lived in Spain, Maine, and in Dallas so that’s say a lot. My dad took me fishing right here on South Padre Island for years and I don’t think I’ve ever eaten any better food. So obviously the service was amazing. The atmosphere was amazing. The food was amazing. You gotta go try this amazing restaurant grouchy gringos.!

I found this gem after T and J’s shut down before 8:45. This was a great find. All you can eat shrimp $15. Everything is made from scratch. My server Ashton was amazing, friendly and prompt asking about refills. It’s a fun bar with pictures all over the walls. Soup Nazi to Archie Bunker and maybe 1000 more. It’s an instant favorite for me.

We had lunch there a week ago let me tell you it was delicious. My boyfriend had chicken fried chicken and I had the new Orleans BBQ shrimp. So good. But their dessert was heaven. Didn’t take a pic of the dessert cuz I ate it so fast it was that good. Definitely will be back. And our waitress Ludi was very professional and knowledgeable about the menu. Great service.

This place was new to me while in the area and decided to try them out due to Google reviews. The Mahi Mahi was delicious! I highly recommend it. The only reason why I didn’t give them 5 stars was because the menu descriptions were not accurate. My husband got the chicken fried steak which people loved based on reviews but maybe today the chef wasn’t feeling it. The chicken wasn’t pounded down like the menu said, it was very thick( I would try seasoning the chicken before breading it, nothing crazy but some). The gravy drowned the chicken fried steak so the it wasn’t as crispy as he would’ve liked. My mahi Mahi dish was supposed to come with red mash potatoes, I’m positive they used rustic. I have nothing bad to say about the service or presentation but I would love to know exactly what I’m getting before being served.

Recently moved from Port Isabel, we tried it for lunch. It’s a much bigger place and clearly caters to the sports crowd. But food was surprisingly good, some local and some Louisiana. I had the crawfish etoufett (sp?) and also tasted the red fish special. Both excellent. Free glass of wine also, not sure why. Place was almost empty. I’ll come back.

The service was fabulous, the servers were friendly and kind, the atmosphere is fun, How many grouchy people do you recognize on the walls? And the food was over the top amazing! I recommend the fried shrimp and oysters and the beignet was very original to what you would get at the French quarters in Louisiana.

Super delicious food, our waiter was great! I did feel the green beans needed a little more flavor but I’m still giving it a great review because I will be back for more haha!
