I was so disappointed that Big Boy was gone and I came from Indianapolis to get dinner here. Apparently Dolly is Big Boy’s girlfriend. He couldn’t pay the rent so she kicked him out and took over. (Nothing like an independent woman!) Gave this place a whirl today on my way back home to Indy. I’m sad that the iconic, chubby hamburger holding statue is gone and feel like Dolly needs to make an artistic statement herself. The missing statue is the only thing that made me sad. Service was absolutely phenomenal. I loved the new pasta salads at the fresh clean salad bar. Burger was just fantastic and the hot fudge cake, chefs just like I remember. The restaurant was very clean also! Huge plus here!

Only reason I didn’t give it a 1star is cause the food came out hot. But the onion rings have no flavor and do not compare to frishes. The burger was bland. Definitely does not compare to a big boy. The chicken tenders lack flavor. Everything tasted bland. The one nice part is it was all hot. I posted a pic of the receipt too. Very high priced. Will never be back. We can eat at Texas Roadhouse for that price.

I got the Super signature burger combo less tartar sauce. Its 3 patties. Burger was ample and good. Fries were good also although my fry container was only half full. Wish it would have come with more fries. Drink cups are a bit small also Hit the drive through. Cashier was helpful amd friendly.

We were staying nearby and decided to try Dolly’s. We knew they were in the building where Big Boy used to be, and it looked like a similar restaurant.
It is very similar to Big Boy, but way better!! My partner first got food, and I didn’t want any. But I tried one bite of his burger and had to go back to order food for myself. Very glad I did. It was excellent!!! I had waffle fries with my burger, and my partner had onion rings, which he really liked.
The employees were all very nice and hospitable!
If you’ve wondered how it is, go try it! You won’t be disappointed!!

The one star is because they still have the “good” ice. Not very clean.
Our waitress was attentive. A leftover Frisch’s employee. Stood at our table and talked the whole time we were eating about how the owner of Frisch’s screwed them over. It took 30 minutes to get a omelet, hashbrowns and toast and a hamburger for my husband. His salad bar was awful.
The price was too high for such mediocre food.
Can’t see them staying open much longer. It was a ghost town in there. 1 other table of people.

what happened to this place, come in around 7:30, ordered a signature meal. Barely any waffle fries compared to what it was. No sweet tea! Then now can only get ketchup in a small cup and no bottle on the table. I’ll give it one more time and if it continues I won’t be back.

First off, get the volume on your Drive-thru speaker fixed. It was so loud it actually hurt my ears. The Dolly special was terrible. All you put on this is sauce and 2 pickles?? No lettuce, no onion, no nothing?? Tasted horrible. Same with the chicken sandwich with just your sauce and 2 pickles. Awful!!! Maybe try mayonnaise, lettuce, tomato, cheese, etc.!!
Also, when was the last time you changed the oil in the fryer where the chicken sandwich was fried??? Horrible!!! The fries were hot but not cooked fully. They were still somewhat raw/solid in the middle.
You cannot say it’s because you were too busy as there were only 4-5 cars on the lot, and I assume those were probably the staff.
No wonder your business has gone drastically downhill since reopening. Too many problems with how to properly serve decent food to the customer.
If I could I would give (0) zero stars. Will never come back!
