I lived nearby years ago and deeply miss living near Rosie’s. Every time I come to visit my friends, I make sure to visit. Every time I visit, I notice new offerings. Their food is delicious and prices are very fair. They have options to make your sandwich a meal deal by adding on a dessert and a drink. I noticed they had some gluten free offerings this time as well. I love the Chicken Bacon Ranch sandwich. There are so many great dessert options from Whoopie Pies to Chocolate Pie to Cheesecake. I highly recommend eating at Rosie’s.

Absolutely charming Mennonite cafe! Food was delicious! Omfg the peanut butter cheesecake was soooo frickin good! Hubby had a basic cheese burger and loved it! Said its ones of the best he has had since we moved to Lynchburg, Va in Dec 2024. I had a grilled chicken salad. Chicken was great and the ranch was homemade. You can definitely tell they used fresh ingredients. Definitely will be returning. In you happen to be in Gladys, Va make sure you stop in and they their baked goods! You wont be disappointed!

So I went to this place once 3 years ago and couldn’t get served, but they’re still around so I decided to try again. And for the second time I stood in the building for 5 minutes and never saw one employee. I didn’t see a food server, I saw no one behind the counter at all. There were about 10 people waiting around for food. My guess is it would be over 30 minutes to actually get food so I left.
This is the same experience I had three years ago.
I don’t even know if there are food servers in this place or if you need to order and then take your food back to the table. I don’t understand how they’re still in business. I guess clearly there are people that don’t mind sitting around without service for extended periods.
