When the food is good it’s really good, when it’s not…sadly it’s frustrating. Always been pretty pleased with food here in years past, never an issue to mention but gotta be honest last month or so have had some pretty frustrating orders. Stromboli with what was supposed to be 3 toppings that was barely anything for one person to eat and was massively smaller than the usual one we get. Total disappointment for price. Pizza was one of the worst I have ever had sadly. Cheese nowhere near melted and crust that was barely even done. Bound to be some not so great orders here and there but its become more frequent as someone who orders here about once a week on avg.

I live in North Carolina nowadays. However, I grew up in this town and through those years, Darc’s pizza was a regular necessity. Especially after Football and basketball games. That was a tradition for my parents as well while they were growing up. That in itself shows why it’s a 5-star establishment. Not to mention, evytime I come to town to visit, I get a couple trays of pizza. Some to eat while I’m in town, and the rest I freeze to take back to Carolina to enjoy.

Amazing Place! Old fashioned pizza shop, with pedigree that goes back generations! Pizzas are not the same old stuff you get at Dominoes, or Fox’s, or Papa John’s. These are fresh ingredients, authentic to their Italian roots! The price is just as delightful as the food! Have the meat & cheese board to start, then dive into any entree’. You won’t be disappointed, no matter what you order! Highly recommend D’Arcs! Get there early. It gets crowded, fast! Take outs are available, and customer traffic is steady! Just go!

I ordered a couple trays of pizza today, and when I stopped to pick them up….the fine folks at D’arc’s had given my pizzas to another person.
But….they took this as an opportunity to build relationships with customers!!
(Not that I needed help. I’ve been eating their pizza for 40+ years!).
But they made it right with me, and their pizza is as great as always!

Very tasty pizza. They have a spicy pizza that just reminds me of a flavor of something from my childhood and it is delicious. I’ve tried several different types and so far all are very good. The beer is nice and cold (always a plus). We had eight in our party and our server was wonderful. She made sure our pitchers of beer were never empty and as we ate she checked several times to see if we needed anything. We enjoyed talking with the owner and having some laughs, he stopped by the table to ask how everything was and he cleared some empty plates and pizza pans. It’s not very often you go to a restaurant and the owner actually comes to the tables to make sure things are good. Needless to say it was a good time and I’d definitely recommend this establishment for good pizza and cold beer.

Grew up here in town. Always having parties and get togethers. Beautiful interior with pure Windber Nostalgia. Plus the pizza and bread are the second best in Windber. They’ve been there since the 60s so somethings gotta be right!!

Pizza, breadsticks and Stromboli were good.
Buffalo chicken salad is absolutely disappointing, not even a grilled chicken breast. It’s just frozen Tyson grilled chicken tenders and my chicken was freezing cold.
I’ll stick to pizza at a pizza place.

I’ve been to D’arcs several times and have had good service each time. The food is however a bit mediocre at best. I order delivery every so often and its a complete ripoff every time. I keep wanting bad experiences to be a one-off, but it doesn’t seem like that’s the reality. I won’t be spending my money there anymore, especially when Mimo’s is levels above them, and a mile more down the road.
