Super cute vintage spot to grab a few drinks! Wasn’t busy at all on a Sunday night which was nice. They are always busy. Delicious drinks I got an espresso martini. It was pretty price 48 dollars for 2 drinks but well worth it. Vibes were chill. Will definitely be back

What a great little bar! I love the tough to find, speakeasy type feel. Drinks were spectacular, much like the service. Looking forward to returning next time I’m in the block!

1. I had a very disappointing experience at this bar, particularly with their caviar service. The caviar was pre-opened when it arrived at the table and appeared to have been previously frozen, with compromised texture and cloudy liquid. This was never disclosed. As someone who doesn’t order caviar often, it felt like they were taking advantage of a customer’s lack of specialized knowledge rather than offering a proper, transparent experience.

2. Attention to detail was lacking throughout. The bowl the chips were served in was wet, which immediately raised concerns about care and cleanliness. When you’re charging premium prices for items like caviar, basic execution and presentation matter.

3. Overall, this felt careless and misleading, especially for a product that relies heavily on freshness and proper handling. I wouldn’t order specialty or high-end items here again.

I had an amazing experience at Run for the Roses, a fantastic speakeasy-style bar in Denver. The place exudes a secretive, old-school charm with its low-key and chill vibe—which is just the kind of atmosphere I love.

Getting there is part of the allure: you follow a trail of roses to an elevator that takes you underground. Around the corner, you’ll find a gated check-in counter (I’ve already said too much!). Once inside, you’re greeted by a stunning room full of character and a nicely designed bar.
The service was great. Their ordering system is fun and unique—you can stick to the menu or get creative with their card-based menu, where drinks are themed around different cards. Of course, I tried their Old Fashioned, and it was wonderful —definitely worth a second round (which I did have). I also had another cocktail (can’t quite recall the name), but it was equally delightful.

On the food side, I sampled their deviled eggs, which were delicious and filling. They’re great to share with a friend unless you’re really into deviled eggs!

Overall, the drinks were amazing, and the food made for a perfect complement. If I find myself in Denver again, I will absolutely return to this gem of a speakeasy. I highly recommend checking out Run for the Roses if you’re in the area—you won’t be disappointed!

Lovely underground cocktail bar. The staff are so knowledgeable and helpful in picking out your perfect drink. Then there is the caviar. Who can say no to some caviar bumps!!!?? So much fun. I think my bartenders name was matt. He came from NYC and has worked there for 6 months. Anyways, thanks for an amazing time

I love this speakeasy. Been here a few times and have never been disappointed. Excellent cocktails crafted by professional and knowledgeable servers! Definitely on the pricier side, but well worth it.

Fantastic cocktail bar/speakeasy with a cool playing card theme. Lots of amazing choices including cocktails using rare vintage spirits. Had their RFTR Old Fashioned made with their Maker’s Mark pick and it didn’t disappoint. Also did the Alaska vintage cocktail on recommendation from the bartender and it was phenomenal. And I’m not even a Gin guy. Love to come back and explore more. Highly recommend!

Strong cocktails and fun vibes. I didn’t adore the ask for extra personal info at the door and the prices for some drinks were a tad over the top, but the energy was high and the bartender had great suggestions.
