Koh Yuan Chen
Hong Kong themed restaurant.
Ordered their lunch special Happy Family ($13) which comes with fried rice, 1 egg roll, and a choice of egg or hot and sour soup.
The Happy Family consists of shrimp, scallops, chicken, pork, and vegetables. The portion was good enough for 1 person with a good amount of ingredients. The “gravy” the ingredients were soaked in were too starchy.
Unfortunately the soups were too starchy and the hot and sour soup was lacking the vinegar and pepper flavour to give it that “kick”.
The lunch specials are the most bang for your buck and the good is that they serve lunch specials during the weekends.
Egg rolls were good too.
My other friend got the House Fried Rice ($15) which was decently portioned but not worth it for the price.
Service wise they are not very friendly.

We ordered for pickup and the meal was ready when I arrived. Well done! Unfortunately, once opened at home, EVERYTHING was bland and spiceless. Not even a hint of salt or pepper! Entrées were bland, the appetizers were not appetizing, the broth of the won ton soup was good but the pork and vegetables in the soup were tasteless. Its not that the food tasted bad as much as it simply had no taste! Also, 7oz of soup for $6? We’ve given them a couple of chances but we are not repeating.

The shrimp was very large in the shrimp with lobster sauce and the shrimp with snow peas–none of those dinky little crustaceans lost in the sauce. All our dishes were very tasty. We got free chicken fried rice for buying $30+ of food. A pleasant surprise! Service was friendly and quick–it took us longer to decide what we wanted than it took to get our food! There was enough food to last several days! Definitely will be back.

An excellent local Chinese restaurant. The food is always served piping hot. The vegetables have a nice fresh crunch when eating. My favorite dishes are the Sweet and Sour Chicken, and Shrimp with Vegetables.

Very beautiful place, good food and the service was perfect! I ordered a fairly large takeout order and the order was ready pretty quickly. I had just enough time to run to the nearby Safeway. Everything was warm and ready to eat. Thank you so much for everything! I will be back for sure!

My one complaint is that when I ordered soup as part of my pickup, I was told that crispy noodles are only free for in-house patrons! I can’t believe that since the prices are exactly the same so why show “reduced service” for a longtime customer of theirs?

We had dinner at Dragon Village Restaurant tonight. My wife had Family Tofu and I had Szechuan Tofu. Both dishes are in the “Vegetables” section of the menu and we had both made vegan. The waitress was very friendly and had a good understanding of their menu and what could be vegan or not. They were very busy, but the food came out pretty quickly. It was delicious!!

We discovered they’re open for dine-in since July 2021. We had a positive experience eating here. Tables were socially distanced. Our server was delightful and helpful. The servings were normal-sized and very tasty.

Best Chinese food in Oro Valley, quite possibly in all of Tucson! The food is incredibly fresh tasting, no MSG. We had the Mongolian Beef and the Orange Chicken. The flavors were fantastic. The beef was thinly sliced tenderloin and the chicken was white meat chicken lightly breaded but the orange sauce was the best I have ever had! The hot and sour soup was also fantastic with fresh pork, mushrooms and great flavor with mild heat. Billy and his wife run the place, they make you feel like they invited you over to their house for dinner. A must go!!
