Number should definitely be higher than it is. We enjoyed it. For how busy it can get and the fact that it’s in a hotel lobby, it’s still a really nice place to grab a bite to eat.

We enjoyed the large portion of calamari and this chicken sandwich didn’t have a dry spot anywhere, so juicy. The drinks were on the stronger side, but good. The butternut squash soup was incredible and I really liked my cheesesteak and the fries were fresh and exceptionally done!! Nice view of the waterfront at Pennsylvania landing too!

This was our first time here and walking in and I was absolutely amazed. The atmosphere was warm and elegant. Seating was extra special as you had an opportunity to sit by the window where you could look out at the water. There menu had some good food on it and it was fresh and delicious. The service was very attentive and we were checked on several times throughout our meal. While the elegant feel id definitely present they have a large bar outside of the dining area where you can sit amd drink and watch football. This is just a beautiful hidden gem. I highly recommend.

CARRY OUT REVIEW. Got food to-go while staying at the Hilton—it was Sunday football day so the bar was pretty packed. Finally got a bartender’s attention, placed my order, paid, and came back 20 mins later to grab my food. The food was pretty good—got the Philly Flatbread, Sarah’s Cobb Salad with Grilled Chicken and Penne Ala Vodka.

Just spent the past week in Philly on vacation and stayed at the Hilton on the waterfront where the Rope and Anchor is situated. From start to finish, spent every day there for breakfast and occasionally for dinner, the around the clock service was incredible, the staff super friendly and accommodating, and the atmosphere so relaxed and inviting. I’m not a fan of the noise and hustle of the city, and Keating’s was just a lovely place to sit, dine and unwind while watching the riverside, it’s just so relaxing. I really enjoyed the great classic rock played there, not too many places I’ve been to these days have the Police, Steve Miller, and Earth Wind and Fire playing in the background. Breakfast included with our hotel stay was fresh and delicious with a ton of options. Dinner was great, I went with the grilled cheese with tomato and bacon with tomato soup, just an awesome, simple dish with a lot of flavor, but an absolute MUST is the truffle fries which my wife and I had to share, they were so huge!! Special shout out to Dominique who warmly greeted us there often and also in Ellis coffee shop around the corner, and the morning breakfast staff and their excellent, attentive service. Thank you all so much for an awesome stay!!!

Weirdly sparse menu… just didn’t have much on it. I got a cheese steak, which… wasn’t expecting that much, given that it’s a hotel restraurant, but it was inedibly salty. Just odd.

And also, they seemed to be selling canned Cambpell’s Tomato Soup for TEN BUCKS.

wut.

Great view of the river, though!

I rarely leave negative reviews, but my experience at this hotel’s restaurant was deeply disappointing.

But before I start, the location is great and the restaurant appears nice BUT…

The restaurant itself offered very limited food selections. The pasta dish I ordered — penne vodka — was served with a basic red sauce and the pasta was undercooked in parts. The Aperol spritz was watered down, and even the water served was not filtered and tasted unpleasant. For a Hilton hotel restaurant, the quality was far below expectations.

Room dining was even worse. On the first day, I placed an online order, waited 25 minutes, and when I went downstairs to pick it up, I was told the food had not even been started. On the second day, the same issue happened again — the staff explained that they don’t actually receive alerts when online orders come through. This meant that after waiting 30 minutes, I had to wait even longer while the order was finally prepared. It completely defeats the purpose of “room dining” if the system is not monitored and the guests are left waiting.

Overall, the service was disorganized, the food mediocre at best, and the experience frustrating from start to finish. For a Hilton hotel restaurant, I expected much better. I would not recommend dining here.

Finding a good Philly cheese steak while visiting Philadelphia started here. While the atmosphere and service was great, the cheesesteak was a disappointment. Although,it did taste good, I wasn’t impressed with the “nacho cheese spread” on top. I expected gobs of provolone cheese oozing throughout the meat. The price was fare, however, my search continues for that amazing Philly cheesesteak.

Stopped in for a drink and to warm up after our visit to the waterfront and the Philadelphia Hope Fence. Server was attentive and drinks were good.

Solid hotel restaurant. Tried a burger at lunch that was pretty good and the penne with vodka sauce at dinner which was really delicious. Restaurant is right in the lobby area with a good sized bar and other tables if you prefer that. Staff were super friendly and on top of it, though drinks could take a bit when it was busy just due to the volume of orders the bartender was keeping up with. Nice view of the water from the restaurant.

Keating’s Rope and Anchor Bar + Kitchen offers a relaxed, dockside vibe in the heart of Philadelphia. The ambiance was casual, and the cleanliness was spot on. Service was friendly and prompt—no wait for seating and our food arrived in just 10 minutes. I ordered the Torchetti with grilled chicken. The pasta was cooked perfectly, and the sauce was rich and flavorful, but the grilled chicken was a bit dry. My wife opted for the spinach and mushroom omelet of the day, which she loved. It was light, just what she wanted, and the French fries were a hit too. Overall, a solid meal with great service, but I’d skip the chicken next time.
