This is a great option for Mexican food. The portions are ample and very tasty. We enjoy dining at El Serranito Tacos and Bar. I recommend trying this restaurant. I hardly ever give 5 stars so 4½ stars is a high rating for me.

I ordered takeout the hot wings, side of queso, and quesabirria tacos. The hot wings are your average pre-breaded chicken, and I wasn’t a fan of the queso dip. However, the birria tacos with the consume were 4 stars by itself and I recommend those if you’re undecided on what to try. The broth has good flavor.

First off there is no bar here and that is in the name. We went on Tuesday and most everybody in the world has Taco Tuesday and this place has no specials. The waitress was that fully up on what the menu was and it’s not a big menu. They did however make me a hard shell taco out of a soft shell taco which they do not have and the hard shell taco they made was very very good. The soft shell chicken taco I had no flavor to it at all and the beef and chorizo taco I had was okay but it had an accompanying sauce that was too smoky and too hot but it was okay if you like that kind of thing. They give you free nachos and salsa but the salsa was extremely bland.

Best Mexican restaurant in Smyrna! Second time here and we tried the lengua and adobada tacos, sooo good. First time we were here we had the posole and adobada burrito, 10/10! I had to hold myself back from ordering the posole again to switch it up, but it was definitely memorable!

I rarely do reviews but this place is going places!! The food, service, the environment, EVERYTHING. SO SO GOOD. 100/10 recommend!! Well worth every penny. I highly recommend the Asada taco (steak) SO GOOD!! Also don’t take this as a bad thing on the restaurant itself just be careful with the one step outside of the exit!! Overall amazing though!

Fresh authentic food! I’ve been searching for a good Mexican restaurant for over 2 years and finally found it today. The tacos were delicious! The way I always know for sure if it’s good is by the rice and beans, they were creamy and tasty! The staff is friendly and the establishment was very clean!

Excellent food and service. The chips and salsa are very fresh and flavorful. Salsa is not spicy. Ordered the shrimp chimichanga and agua de pepino con limón, refreshing and amazing. Wow! Highly recommend. Thank you so much!!
Came back to try their Shrimp Cocktail and it’s delicious! Not sweet, just the right amount of citrus flavor and slightly spicy. Very good! I think adding avocado will make it even better next time. Thank you so much. 🙂

The waitress was nice. It’s basic TexMex. Nothing authentic. Got the Serranito Special. The rice and beans were plain and lacked seasoning/flavor. The steak was tough. The wrap of the flauta was unusually hard/tough like it was stale or overcooked. Shortrib was decent. The enchilada was also good. Weirdly the dish came with a small lettuce and tomato salad. I really love good rice and beans so this was disappointing. They do not have their liquor license yet so although it says tacos and bar, the bar will come later. The girl was nice. The menu could use some flavor. I hope they taste their food and bring it up a notch cause we could use a great Mexican joint.

This place is great all around. The food is excellent. Their kids menu even has chicken tenders and fries for the less adventurous little eaters. I had the steak, chicken, and shrimp tacos and they were excellent. Their chips and salsa are also great! I am adding this to my favorite places.
