It was nice to discover this relatively new restaurant in Oppelo, a great place you should consider trying if you’re planning a visit to Petit Jean State Park. The food was excellent overall. My wife’s ham, beans and taters got two thumbs up from her, and I really liked the greens and macaroni and cheese with my chicken and dressing special. The chicken and dressing wasn’t on a par with the other foods though, and had me wishing I had tried the chicken and dumplings instead. The portions were huge, and the prices extremely reasonable. Great service too.

We tried a new restaurant Nann’s Kitchen, folks if your driving down I40 or at Petti Jean State Park drive a little and enjoy the best homestyle cooking that grandma used to make . Folks this is lip-smacking delicious and at reasonable prices.

Food was as good as every small town “ma and pa” cafe I have ever eaten at, no complaints.
Great atmosphere, wait staff was great.

Found out about Nana’s by word-of-mouth while visiting town, and I was not disappointed. Ate breakfast here the in the morning, then came back for dinner that evening. Breakfast for 3: huge pancakes, biscuits and gravy, and breakfast taco. Super affordable and excellent portions. Dinner: turkey sandwich, chicken strips, and cfs. Hand battered and seasoned amazingly. Ice tea is on point. Staff is inviting and vigilant. 10 out of 10. Ordered fried pies to-go to eat at the motel. Great home-style cooking.

Very clean, spacious and bright. If you don’t want to make the trek to Mather Lodge restaurant at Petit Jean State Park, then this place is a nice alternative, food and price wise. I haven’t tried their breakfast yet, but the bacon cheeseburger was perfect and my companion loved her pulled pork sandwich. Very nice to find a place like this in such a small town. I’ll definitely be returning.

Onion rings and hushpuppies were almost burned. Brown beans had no flavoring. Balconies sandwich was 2xtimes balonia needed.

Good home town diner food. Waitress is clearly a professional because she doesn’t need a tablet or pen and paper. She can remember it all!

We got a to go order. We got the Porkchop with fried potatoes & greens and Chicken Fried Steak with mashed potatoes & green beans.
The greens were delicious and the mashed potatoes had a great flavor. However, the fried potatoes, green beans & meat had absolutely no seasoning. No salt, nothing.
I’m hoping it was an off night because I spent almost $30 and have heard nothing but good things about this place.
