Absolutely fabulous. Great food perfectly cooked and presented, great flavour, nicely spiced. I had lamb in satay sauce….divine! The waitress was amazing remembering what everyone ordered so when I went to pay she knew exactly what I had. Would I go again? Most definitely. Only negative is when its full as it was tonight it is quite noisy.

Thai Sunshine has got to be the best Thai restaurant in New Zealand. We often go to other towns and always try the Thai restaurants but we have not found another one that is as outstanding as Thai Sunshine. Their food is delicious and they go the extra mile. The staff are super-friendly and it’s like a home away from home. My husband and I go at least twice a month and my favourite dishes are Angel Prawns and the Massamum beef curry, but all their dishes are done to perfection. Thai Sunshine is very popular so make sure you book to avoid disappointment.

Lovely lovely eatery just off the main road in the Gisborne City Centre. They are quite popular so would recommend booking a ahead. Their food is definitely quite good and their assortment of specials were definitely worth a try. Their staff dwspite being run off their feet provide a good customer experience. Only let down was their sticky rice and mango dessert (a very popular Thai dish) had frozen mangoes in it. Whilst I can understand using frozen mangoes to keep prices down, at least thaw these before serving! It really ruins an otherwise quite good dish.

It was a recommendation of my accommodation and yes, the food tastes very good. It’s no big problem, but the ratio between curry and rice is not balanced. A little bit more rice should be included, I had to pay additionally (no big price).
The atmosphere is average, anyway since the food is good, I would come here again.
