The Porcheta sandwich was good. Honestly, it was not a fair fight after the fries.
They have a variety of yummy options. I got one of their burgers and it very juicy. They have a few tables but there are other places where you can sit and enjoy your meal.
With that being said, the double wagyu smash burger here was not bad, a 7/10. The fries and cheese curds were also about a 7/10. If you’re at the packing district and are craving a burger, this would be your choice.
I ended up circling back to The Kroft because their sign caught my attention. French dip? Yes please! We ordered our food to-go and grabbed a table closer to the center of the Packing House, since The Kroft is tucked away downstairs and feels a bit darker being farther from the windows.
I ordered just the sandwich with no sides, plus a drink, and it ended up being a good amount of food for me. The sandwich (and dip) itself was on the richer, heavier side, but was incredibly tasty and satisfying.
I would definitely want to try to come back the next time I am in the area.
The menu is quite unique, but is filled with delicious options. If you’re not accustomed to the menu items, this might not be the place for you. I’ve never even heard of most of the items, but wanted to try everything. The prices are probably a bit higher than expected, but they definitely reflect the portions given. I waited for about 10-15 minutes, but didn’t mind considering how good my sandwich was.
* Kroft Fried Chicken Sandwich: 9/10 – really tasty and decent sized portion
The parking lot gets busy quite easily so you might have to park on the street. The staff was really friendly and the restaurant has an urban atmosphere. We’ll definitely be stopping by to try all of the other delicious options!
Highly recommend giving them a try!
