Incredible meal at this lovely sushi spot! Salmon is super fresh, tempura perfectly crispy outside & tender inside, and the unagi is rich and sweet, all sushi is top-notch with fresh ingredients. The place is spotlessly clean, staff are so friendly, warm and attentive. A real gem in Oxford, we’ll definitely be back! Highly recommend.

I got a salmon platter, which gave me a delightful variety of different types of sushi to try – I definitely recommend this option if you’re looking to try a few different styles. The seaweed salad was refreshing and delicious. The strawberry mochi was not my favorite, but not bad.
The waitress was very friendly and patient as I took a while to decide. I’d love to come here again.

Came here because Taberu next door is closed. Ordered rainbow roll (8 pieces), soft shell crab hand roll, unagi (eel) don which comes with miso soup and salmon sashimi.
The sashimi didn’t feel fresh and wasn’t juicy. The rainbow roll was wrapped with too much rice but the avocado inside was nice. The unagi don was good but not spectacular. Happy that it came with miso soup! The salmon sashimi comes as 4 pieces as I’ve asked the waitress but to my pleasant surprise we were given 5! The soft shell crab batter is too thick so was quite hard instead of crispy.
Overall experience 5/10 and wouldn’t come again. One positive thing is that there is no service charge and the price was very good for a Japanese resto!

Nice food and friendly service. Sushi is lovely, especially the rolls. We ordered Curry chicken katsu Don, I really like that they separated the curry sauce in a small bowl aside. This makes my chicken stays crispy.

As somebody who had grown up in Japan I thought the sushi was really lovely! Despite that we were a large group they sat us down quickly and we were able to order all of our food. However then the shambles of our order happened…some people received all of their orders in one go, some person was told it was vegetarian but it was a meat dish…some people waited near 1 hour 30 minutes!!!! For their food to arrive :((( my friend had to ask them and there was no compensation nor any food refund 🙁 sad to say the food was good but the service really hurt the atmosphere in our group and I really hope this will be resolved.
