Pulled up to Top Notch Seafood and somehow ordered half the menu.
Started with the Crawfish Kickers: crispy little crawfish bites that were gone quick.
The Top Notch Loaded Fries came piled with cheese, jalapeños, and bacon and honestly could’ve been a meal by themselves.
The Top Notch Cheeseburger with Fried Shrimp is exactly the kind of Louisiana combo I didn’t know I needed; juicy burger with crispy shrimp on top? Say no more!
I also grabbed the Lemon Pepper Wings (nice citrus kick and crispy) and finished it off with the Crawfish Pasta that was creamy and loaded with crawfish.
Safe to say I rolled out of here happy.

Fate brought us to this place (Google helped too), we ordered boudin egg rolls, fish and shrimp plate and a fish plate. The fish was tender and seasoned well. The egg rolls were unique and tasty. The dine in area is very clean and the wait staff delightful and attentive. Food came out very fast.

Went there today and order a top notch shrimp burger for my first time. We were the only customers in the store at the time and after we placed our order we waited an hour for our food. Me and my stepdad had shrimp burgers and mine came out with no meat patty. Just shrimp lettuce and mayo. On top of that, I order fries as a side and got a side salad. So when I reminded the lady of my order she went to the back and came back with just a plain patty and fries in the basket . No cheese, didn’t remake the burger just slapped it in a basket. The lady then proceeded to tell me she wouldn’t charge for the burger and friend and did exactly that charging us more than expected. ( $80 for 2 burgers, one that was all messed up and overall just terrible service). Will never be back to that place again. So unprofessional.

Man, please let me tell you about this place. We ordered on a day when the parking lot was full due to a vette show. That didn’t slow down, nor affect the speed and quality of the order. Ryan took our order of 5 meals and said it would be ready in little time. Both she, and the the food, didn’t disappoint. Our meals were fabulous and absolutely perfect. Job well done!
Burgers, wings and salads are so large we couldn’t finish in one meal. Now we have a ton of leftovers. Don’t sleep on the fries. Thin, crispy and seasoned.

The food and service was really “Top Notch!”with me being a big eater I’m always skeptical about portion size when I visit a new restaurant. I don’t mind paying for what I want but I do appreciate a decent portion size for what I paid for, and this place did not disappoint . Although I got the top notch burger and upgraded my fries to Top notch status I wanted to add a second Patty and was reassured by our courteous waitress Miss Linda that their burgers were plenty big enough. SHE WAS SO RIGHT LOL! I finish the burger will a satisfied stomach and struggled through the fries. Add my wife had the Cajun seafood pasta. This summer of the better pasta that we had ever tasted. We were both able to leave with doggy bags. So I highly recommend if you are coming through Gonzalez down I-10 make a quick stop and support TOP NOTCH SEAFOOD.

Our hostess Ryan was very welcoming and V our waitress was very attentive, knowledgeable, and patient. Just walked in by chance on a drizzle rain day. Great chill environment with indoor patio. It was wonderful sitting inside. Definitely coming again.

A hidden Gem in Gonzales!
My wife and I went on our traditional “Sunday Lunch Date,” and this week, she chose The Camp. I’ve never been there before, nor have I even heard of it lol but I always keep an open mind.
So, we get to the restaurant and we realize that there’s no parking by the building. There’s a parking a lot on the side of the restaurant with a bridge to cross over the creek to get to it. Which was different, but when we get there, not a soul was there lol we were the only ones there. Which was bittersweet because is this place not really good but no line and I’m starving!
So, we get in the restaurant, and the hostess sits us down (immediately lol) and then greeted by our waitress Kerry or Kerri. Who was great the entire time!
Food time! My wife ordered the boudin egg rolls and the Crawfish loaded potato. I ordered The Camp Cheeseburger w Shrimp and the 6pc Spicy BBQ wings! My wife enjoyed her her meal very much and the same goes for me! When they brought that burger out, it was a BEAUTIFUL MONSTER! This burger was delicious. Perfectly, seasoned, nicely grilled and charged, and the shrimp were seasoned to perfection as well. The wings were very solid. A little to overly sauced up but no complaints about the flavor, the spicy BBQ sauce wasn’t too spicy at all. It’s just a nice kick to it.
So, overall, the camp was a great selection. I’d give it a 8/10 We’ll mostly be back again to try something different because the menu has some great options. Thanks, Camp, and GREAT JOB!
