Perfect place to take some coffee or to try a taro latte! It has plenty of space inside to sit and spend some time with your bf/gf, family & friends! I love this place, much better than a starbucks!

Absolutely love this place! Coffee is good, and pastries and food is delicious as well. Coffee can be pricey depending on what you order, but overall, prices are pretty fair. Usually a long line, especially during high tourist seasons, but workers are fast and the line moves along pretty quickly. The atmosphere is welcoming, and they have so many mugs with funny sayings you can purchase inside, which I find amusing. It is a good place to catch up with someone, do work, or even take a break after a long day of shopping around town!

I have been a frequent customer at Calders for 2+ years, and I have always loved the service, food, and atmosphere. However, I went there over a long weekend this past month and was genuinely surprised with the new lack of hospitality. The female cashier at the front completely ignored each customer the whole time I was there with my friends, and while waiting for my drink order, I mistakenly reached for someone else’s drink thinking it was my own, and I subsequently got very loudly yelled at by three employees at the same time. The other customers in the cafe were as shocked as I was, and I was told that they had experienced rudeness from Calders employees too. I had never encountered that level of unfriendliness at Calders before. So disappointing!

Delicious coffee. My husband and I were sitting at a table enjoying our breakfast and coffee. We watched as an employee came by a family with small children and asked them rudely to stay out of the aisle so that they did not get hit with the trash bags. The kids were well-behaved and weren’t in the way. The family got up and left angrily, understandably, and after they left, the employee kept cursing while she walked by us and ranting about the situation under her breath. We could even hear her outside with the door closed as she vented about it. It was a busy day with a long line, as I’m sure is typical at this coffee shop, but it was incredibly rude and soured our otherwise enjoyable morning by hearing this disgruntled employee run this family out of the shop with her yucky attitude.

Great atmosphere, but extremely diluted cold brew (weak & watered-down). Recommend going elsewhere for your caffeination needs.

And for reference, the drink I ordered/that is pictured is a cold brew with marshmallow syrup & a splash of skim milk.

During the Fall season Highlands is overly busy with lots of visitors. This small shop is so incredibly efficient! The line was out the door, we ordered 4 hot drinks & we’re out of there in less than 15 minutes, but the staff was so very kind and friendly. Great coffee too!

Amazing coffee. I tried a Gingerbread latte. My husband got the vanilla latte and equally enjoyed his. We each got a breakfast sandwhich. Apparently they pre-build the sandwhiches and you can’t ask to add an egg to a sandwhich that doesn’t have one. We did think that was weird considering these sandwhiches were pretty basic anyways. He got his with a croissant. He said it had a bagel like texture. A bit more dense, but was good. I got mine on an English muffin. In a pinch the breakfast sandwhiches worked, but I wouldn’t say it was the best thing I’ve ever had either.

Cute little coffee shop located near the shopping area in Highlands. Expect it to be very busy during tourist season, even on a weekday. The coffee and food aren’t anything special but they are good and economical. The staff was friendly and helpful. Overall, it was a good experience!

Horrible. Got two espresso drinks and cappuccino and sat down. The staff kept walking by us while seated and hitting us with trash bags. Did we get an exuse me ? No. We got yelled at and were told we should move out the way. Disgusting. Asked for a manager and they said there is none. They said talk to the person that did it.

Bye

Trying to enjoy a slow Sunday morning but the Barista’s are dropping F-bombs like they life depends on it ! I’m a New Yorker, but to have employees speaking like this where all customers can hear this language is just lousy! Do yourself a favor and walk down Main Street and find some different coffee house that respects its customers !
