First time at Akashi and it was such a great experience! ✨
Our server Capri was seriously the best — so friendly, attentive, and on top of everything even with the busy Friday dinner crowd.
We started with the Ahi Tower and WOW… so fresh, so delicious, and the perfect way to kick things off. I had the Happy Sumo Roll, and it was absolutely amazing — full of flavor and so satisfying.
Such a wonderful first visit and we will definitely be back soon!

We accidentally left our to-go box on our table when leaving and our waitress Tiffany ran outside in the rain to chase us down and give it to us. She was awesome.

Rex was as always a great server. Polite and professional. Today a female that was so disrespectful and tried to shame him for not having the sauce she wanted cause she “always gets it there” was actually not the correct sauce or even close to what she was asking for. Then tried to tell him to do his job as he was and was serving multiple tables standing there trying to help her figure it out until he asked the host to help her because he had other people items to drop off in his hands still. He asked in Japanese to help her she is asking for a sauce they don’t have there maybe she is confused and so the host did go help her but as she told him that she doesn’t speak Chinese she wanted to know what he said. Host informed her he wasn’t speaking Chinese (it’s a Japanese Restaurant) he was speaking Japanese. Host figured out what she actually wanted and got it for her and she still insisted they were wrong. Her husband sat there with his head hung down eating silently from embarrassment. They both handled her and her ignorance and racism so professionally and this is another reason why I go back. They never argued with her just kept up with the yes ma’am’s with her. Great staff and great food!!

Excellent food, with great Sushi, and tasty Japanese as well as Chinese cuisine. The server was new, and took very good care of us. The location is centrally located at Northpark and Woodland Hills Drive near other restaurants. We think of the location as the “‘Other’ Town Center”.

Loved everything about this place!
I went for the First time tdy and all I gotta say is I’m coming back . Food delicious , atmosphere clean, service was friendly and attentive . The host Sophia greeted us with a warm welcome and offered us a nice booth 🙂 10/10

Overrated. Though their food looks presentable and same as anywhere else, it’s lacking in flavor here too. We ordered multiple dishes at the time, and all of them were very salty. When I spoke to the server about getting a remake, she exclaimed that the sauce was already pre-made and applied to any dish that was ordered, and they couldn’t fix that.
They may specialize in sushi, but it shows they don’t take as much care in preparing their other dishes, which are the more americanized ones; and those are the ones that fall short.
At the time, we ordered 2 different types of sushi rolls as well, but they were okay > good, not amazing.
AND the kitchen also got my order wrong, but the server still had the nerve to serve me the wrong dish. She even informed me they messed up my order and tried to convince me that this new dish would taste just as good. Because it was my first time, I was cool with it because I wanted to try alot of their menu. Soorly disappointed though.
There are definitely better places for sushi and Asian fusion.

Waited over 20 minutes for a roll and the order had never been placed. The rolls were average. I will say the waiter was really nice and accommodating.
