We have been coming here for several years and we loved the previous owners. We also love the new owners, and the food is amazing! New hours and open all week!! we had the ribeye steak special and the chicken teriyaki bowl. Both of them were delicious and the steak was prepared perfectly!!

This place has gotten an UPGRADE for the better! Under new ownership and you can tell! The place to go if you are in the Wright City area. Everything came out perfect and tasted homemade. Don’t forget to try the dessert which is homemade! We were taken care of by Carmen who was also fabulous! Made a mean old fashion. 10/10 food/service/atmosphere! Will be back.

To be specific, the ruben barely came with any corn beef on it. The sandwhich used to be piled with it. They also changed the sauerkraut to something right off the produce delivery truck. It tastes sweet and really doesn’t have the “sauerkraut flavor”. Leslie is a fantastic waitress who took care of us and even provided the trademark jelloshot when the train went by! She is amazing!

New bartender Anne is very nice.

The pretzel appetizer is very good, as is the pizza. Rueben is huge and very good as is French dip.

Unique decor, friendly staff, great service!! Loved the jello shot for everyone there whenever a train goes by!

Wow. Fried bologna is awesome.

Apple cobbler. Yummo

It’s really great bar food. I recommend the fried Okra. The Rae burger and fries. The frech dip sandwich and potato salad were a plus. The layout is mostly restaurant, and there’s a full bar off to the right. There’s outside seating, but it wasn’t open (it being winter might have been a factor). Parking is on the street, and some of the parking is “pull in” parking. The wait staff were very nice and casual.

Food was really good and the place looked nice and had friendly people. I’d be careful about ordering their alcoholic beverages though. I had a few sips of margarita yesterday (It wasn’t made correctly) and I got really sick off of it within the first few minutes of drinking it. I ended up leaving a full glass on the table and leaving wasting some money I don’t know if it was my body’s reaction or just the drink but be aware if you do go to drink here. It started with a headache then upper stomach started hurting. I left went to the Mexican restaurant to get a real margarita and started getting dizzy and ended up almost passing out at the bar. Bartender looked concerned so we left without ordering any alcoholic beverages.

We went for a late lunch on a Sunday afternoon. It was pleasantly quiet, with music playing in the background so softly we really didn’t notice. The sound was off on the TV’S. We were immediately greeted by someone and directed to sit wherever we wanted.

Our server was at the table right away with menus. Everything from drinks, to appetizer, to meals came out quickly. Our server was friendly and attentive.

The toasted ravioli was unique. It seemed to be a mixture of meat and cheese. Wonderful flavor! I was only given a fork and butter knife, but luckily my pork chop was tender enough I got by without a steak knife. It came with a side of barbecue sauce, but I didn’t use it. The pork chop was delicious with nothing added. I chose the potato salad as my side. It was obviously made fresh and very good. I bit into one potato that was undercooked.

My partner ordered the patty melt and fries. The burger was cooked with just the right amount of pink. It was a slightly larger patty than you usually expect to see on a patty melt, but it was delicious. The fries were fresh and crispy.

Overall, I would highly recommend this hidden gem!
