I’ve eaten at the Hide-A-Way Cafe a few times. A good breakfast cafe spot to meet a friend and enjoy some tea or coffee. The breakfast options are fairly standard but good and have been consistent across visits. The food is hearty and satisfying. The waitress didn’t rush us and was very good about topping up coffee while we chatted. There’s a kids menu that looks suitable for younger kids.

I would give this place zero stars if I could. I found it on Google, and I thought it was going to be a good place. But was very disappointed. The food was horrible and greasy.
The French fries tasted like fish.
Place was very run down and dirty.

Super friendly service, clean and nice diner atmosphere, good home style food, and good value for the prices.

The food was alright. Was expecting it to come out hot and fresh. Came out luke warm. I asked for over easy eggs 2/3 of my eggs were medium over. As I was eating my eggs I tasted a crunch… 2/3 off my eggs had egg shells on them. Pan fry potatoes was meh it was cold and I wish the menu would have mention they add green onions to it. If I would have knew it would have been added I would have asked to have it taken out. Only thing I enjoyed about my breakfast was the coffee, susuage, and sourdough bread was delicious.

A busy little place with decent food. The pancakes looked very good and our meals were tasty and hot from the kitchen. You don’t have a ton of choices for breakfast in Chilliwack so it’s nice to know the Hide-A-Way is there for you when you need it.

Was working out in Chilliwack and needed some lunch to go. Was very pleased with what I got a traditional diner style burger with really crunchy and potato-y fries. If Im working out there again Ill be back!

Tucked away, this ma & pa type restaurant had a huge menu. They have quite a bit of South Asian fare mixed in with your typical western Canadian fare. The prices were decent and it was clean. I had a breakfast benny dish and was so happy to see shredded hash browns on the menu… and the only downside was the sausages from my son’s plate. They looked grey and pale. Surely they were cooked but not very tasty. Otherwise fast service, good food and decent prices.

I had the Benny scramble which was a delicious change from eggs Benedict. Poached eggs served on a hash of potatoes, onions, peppers and cheddar topped with Hollandaise sauce, toast on the side. The cafe was busy on a Wednesday morning which is a good sign. I’ll be returning to this cafe.

Nice Indian/Canadian fusion cafe. Food comes with huge portions, great diversity of options, all at reasonable prices!
First time trying the butter chicken poutine, this combination was surprisingly good!

Food was great – eggs/potato’s were perfectly cooked and not over done. Sauceage lacks a bit of flavour but overall great spot for a cheap and quick breakfast. I was in and out in under 30 minutes.
