Right in the heart of Stephenville and just steps away from my husband’s law office, we turned what was once an old building into the lively, industrial-chic space you now know as Hearsay Bar. Since April 2019, we’ve been raising the bar (literally) on what a night out can feel like. With a cozy lounge inside and an all-weather patio outside, Hearsay is your spot for a little bit of everything: craft cocktails, premium spirits, local brews, and all your favorites behind the bar. We didn’t have any food. Just stopped in for drinks. Excellent drink prices and the drinks were fantastic. Really cool bar. Lots of comfy sitting with tv’s and little fire places give it a cozy feel. They also had a nice selection of merchandise

We were charged almost $50 for only two drinks. The waitress wouldn’t even come back around so we could ask what this extra charge was. We waited n waited. So we just payed trust we won’t be back!

The whole vibe here was amazing. The perfect place to wind down after work with such a calming environment. This is the perfect date night spot or a dun night out with friends. They never made us feel rushed and made sure our drinks were flowing. We had some appetizers and we’re not disappointed with the taste. They were delicious. We were pleased with the drinks and their flavors! We are not a local to here as we drove 2 hours to go. We will be coming back.

Gorgeous little wine bar with live music on some nights. Great patio and a good place to chill and talk. Decor looks upscale in a comfortable sort of way rather than a pretentious way. Great service and excellent local wines.

I would love to give a zero star. The owner of this establishment is very unprofessional. My daughter worked for her. She is a pre-med student at Tarleton. She has been working since she was 14. She has worked 2 to 3 jobs every summer, always goes back every summer and does the same jobs. She is hard working, always on time and goes over and beyond. No one has ever complained about her work ethic. She told Lisa she was going home for the holidays as another employee did the same thing. They were both told that they would not have a job when they returned as they were leaving her in a bad position with the holidays. My daughter did not want to lose her job so she went to try to work with Lisa. She told her she would stay after the university had shut down with no meals and had to get approval to stay in her dorm to help her. Meals would be at her own expense and she would be at the university with no one there. But, the other employee did not do anything my daughter agreed to and went home to her family. My daughter was giving up 2 weeks of Christmas break to stay and work for this woman so she could keep her job and not leave her without an employee for the holidays. Two days into my daughter’s extended stay to help Lisa. She called her in to let my daughter know that she was not going to have a job after the holidays as she was leaving her in a bind. My daughter was only coming home from Dec 23-Jan 4. As they other students left the week of Dec 11 and are not to return until Jan 11. We live 4 hrs away from Tarleton and family time is very important. I feel this woman is very unreasonable! To make manners worse the other girl that was not willing to work with Lisa still has her job. It is obvious she had a problem with my daughter. I just want to give all the facts. If my daughter had a major test she would ask off the day before. The reason being is the establishment closed at 10, but she would not get home until 1am, because she was expected to wash the dishes that would not fit into the dishwasher, mop and clean the bathrooms for $5.00/hr. Lisa is not about helping others, she is all about the bottom line and does not care if she steps on anyones toes who could possibly impact her bottom line. The real problem is Lisa is so naive because she fired my daughter unjustly and my daughter had customers that came in for her service.

Great place to drink casually, or go all out. Bring your date, or your friends. They offer an incredible choice of wine, & beer. The comfy indoor area is something classy and romantic, you won’t find anywhere else in Stephenville quite like it!
