“Real Texas” restaurant in every way, from nicely-kept rustic western decor to banana pudding in the salad bar, and a friendly server with a big smile and penciled-in eyebrows. Very cheerful with Christmas tree and decor! We didn’t get steak but had the salad bar, which my husband loved. I was happy to see potato soup included in the SB but it was just not good—the broth was thin and tasted odd, not thick and creamy at all. The salad greens were limp but in all fairness it was 30 min before they closed. The chocolate pudding was good and prices fair.

The food was delicious, including the salad bar. The salad bar also had a vast selection with salads, different veggies, sauces, soups, dressing and even pudding.
We ordered the tilapia in garlic crust which was very good. The mac n cheese seemed to be out of the box, so I wouldn’t recommend that. But our party also ordered the steak and it was good, even though it wasn’t done medium, but rather well done.
The service was really good and fast. I’m not deducting a star for it, but we were charged more tip then we left – which never happened to us while traveling. I’m not sure if it was intentionally, but I’m giving them the benefit of doubt. But still check you bank account after.
This place looks closed since there are no windows, but it was open during their posted business hours when we got there.
Other than that, we recommend eating here and would always go again if we are in the area.

The food here was trash. We went for a late lunch and we started off with the cheese sticks. They were crispy but zero flavor. The menu said spicy ranch but it was regular ranch. The food was very much frozen food that they heated up. When trying to order half of the things on the menu were not available. My husband’s steak was fatty and cooked at 3 different temperatures being rare, medium well and done. He ordered a medium rare steak. The “homemade” mac and cheese was kraft and very cold and congealed. The French fries were crispy on the outside but zero potato inside. There was no flavor to anything and the chicken strips I ate were so crispy and hard I could barely eat them. We will not be coming back.

We’ve been here a number of times over the years having both good and ehhh experiences. Everyone has there good and bad days, right? Recently it’s been all good! We’ve had friendly attentive service. The restaurant has been clean and welcoming. The menu is reminiscent of the K-Bobs it once was. Reasonable priced compared to similar restaurants. Last time there I got the light order of the catfish. It was perfect! So, so much better than the same portion across the street and $5 less!

I’ve been twice now. This time I tried the chicken fried steak.. I’m not trying to be mean, but it’s was gross. Definitely frozen patty. Fries,, gross, soft and not a spec of salt. I put steak sauce on my chicken fry, it was okay until the sauce went away in my mouth, then I was left with this meat. Nothing helped this dish. Salad bar was good.

Wow…what a gem! We have passed by many times, don’t be like the Pattersons! From the time you entered their doors, you were taken care of. The salad bar should have a review of its own, but trust me it was unbelievable! My husband had the fish and I had the 8oz Sirloin. Both of our meals were cooked to perfection and the baked potato came with already melted butter and all the fixings. I would highly recommend stopping in, you will not be disappointed!

The four of us were just passing thru Dumas and stopped here for supper. The salad bar is out of this world .We ordered the Rib Eye steak and it also was cooked to perfection.Bailey was our waitress and she went above and beyond to make sure our dinner was great and our drinks were always topped off and that we had everything we needed She needs a raise. If you are coming to Dumas make this your dinner choice, it was excellent.
