We had the most amazing Valentine’s Day dinner at Anthony’s Coal Fired Pizza & Wings today, and it was truly unforgettable!
From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere felt warm and welcoming — perfect for celebrating St. Valentine’s Day. The staff was absolutely wonderful, especially the person who served us. They were so kind, attentive, and helpful, making the entire experience even more special and enjoyable.
We ordered a custom pizza with mushrooms and onions, and honestly… it was the BEST pizza we have ever had! The crust was perfectly crispy on the outside, with that amazing coal-fired flavor, and so warm, soft, and delicious on the inside. Every bite was full of flavor, and you could really taste the quality and freshness of the ingredients. It was simply outstanding!
To make the evening even better, we also ordered a cocktail with citrus and basil — and it was SO good! It was refreshing, light, and perfectly balanced. The citrus and basil together created such a fresh and unique flavor. It paired beautifully with the pizza and made our Valentine’s celebration feel extra special.
Everything about tonight was wonderful — the food, the drinks, the service, and the atmosphere. It was such a lovely and memorable experience, and we are already looking forward to coming back again.

Additional standard toppings for a large pizza (like canned mushrooms, canned olives, arugula, onions) cost $4.29. Canned pineapple? $5.15. A drizzle of hot honey is $4.29. Delivery fee is $8.50. One pizza with 3 standard toppings ends up being $50, without tip. It’s pizza! Nothing special here. They do well though. People pay it.

Have been going to Anthony’s various locations for a long, long time now. The combination of good pizzas, a decent beer selection, and not too expensive menu items makes it a must when I’m near one. This location, which I hit up at least once, if not twice a year when hiking or visiting Brandywine State Park, is always clean, reliable, and never too busy on a late Saturday or Sunday afternoon. Staff is generally friendly, though sometimes slow and/or not that good, but overall never skip stopping by this location when I’m in the area and need something to eat and drink.

If you’re looking for an overall solid pizza in Delaware I suggest Anthony’s Coal fired pizza. The happy hour meatballs are a must have and go great with a large cheese pizza. The bar service is always attentive and friendly. Don’t forget their grilled wings too !

Our friends from Aston, PA has taken us to Anthony’s twice now and the Pizza is really good. It’s a thin crust pizza, New York style. We also had meat balls for appetizers, which were yummy. We like sitting at the bar so we can socialize with Bill and Martha’s favorite waitress Maddie Sullivan. If you sit at the bar Maddie will give you super service!
Anthony’s is the go to Pizza place on Wednesday’s for happy hour !

Thank you is not enough. Not only is my belly full but i can barely walk. I have had the best restaurant experience and its getting hard to come by such experiences. Loved the meatballs, Fettucini Alfredo was DELICIOUS, i LOVE the italian lemonade, its just right, not too sweet and not tangy either. I’D drive a long distance just to eat here.

I used to love this place. I got a meatball sandwich and the chicken broccoli rabe sandwich. The meatballs tasted like they were all filler, and the chicken was almost nonexistent. Not to mention, the robotic order system on the phone, Becky, could not get the order correct and tried to add 3 random items to the order. Ended up hanging up on her. Someone from the store called back to take the order…I wish they hadn’t.

The food all tastes the same. Ton of salt and garlic. This place wants to give you a heart attack and they take all the taste out of the food.
Never again will I eat here. The family loved the food a couple of years ago now just gross and a feeling of dont care comes with everything you ordered.

Me and my fiance come here every week Paige is the absolute best waitress in the building. Today was the first day my fiance and i didn’t get seated with her and the waitress we got was horrible and paige recognized us so she came over brought us our food and stayed on top of us made sure we were taken care of because the original waitress we got could care less. I will only come here and ask for Paige from now on!!
