Place was spotless and mostly empty, prob because it was past lunch hour (3:20). Service was courteous and my order was taken quickly. Food was brought out hot.
Food was delicious and service was great but pricing was a surprise, which it shouldn’t be.
Got dinner special A for my spouse, dinner special B for myself. Dinner special A was advertised as $25, dinner special B $27. We also got 2 beers at $6 each according to the menu.
$27 + $25 + $12 = $64
Bill came to our table at $72.48
Asked for an itemized receipt to see the discrepancy – items were priced as follows.
Dinner A – 27.48
Dinner B – 29.50
Beer – 6.75 each
And they add a charge for $2.50 for Tea because my wife got hot water.
Price also increase from 72.48 to 74.48 after asking for an itemized receipt, which is really odd. Waiter offered to remove tea charge but I was ready to get my baby home for her bath at that point and didn’t want to waste more paper
Like I said, great food and service, but paying an extra $10 because they haven’t updated the prices on their menus makes me question returning.
A must if you want your Chinese food fix in the area and this is the only one by the city/state beach. We came here twice during our 2 night stay. Staff is very friendly.
This restaurant is really under rated. I think they deserve more business. Keep up the good work!
The Chow Fun is pretty good, a little better than many others in area. Not great, but pretty good. They use the thin sliced meats you often see at a Mongolian BBQ. Plenty of vegetables and sprouts, they are just a few quality ingredients from being 5 stars.
Good vibe, decent prices, friendly people.
