Happy Thai is Bloomington’s best kept secret. This restaurant has become our favorite Thai spot in town for not just the food, but the service and value. Every dish we’ve had here has been delicious. Our favorites include the Drunken Noodles, Thai Fried Rice, and red curry. The lunch deal (M-Sat) cannot be beat – $9.99 for an entree of your choice and vegetable soup! Everything tastes so fresh and made to order.
The staff treat you like family when you dine in. The service is very quick as well which makes it a perfect spot to grab a quick lunch.
The location is not the best, but don’t let that stop you. This is seriously some of the best food you can find in B-Town.

Ordered take out and got the Pad see ew, spice-level 4. Super flavorful without the spice being overwhelming at all. Welcoming staff and excellent service. Definitely coming back to dine in!

Absolutely love Happy Thai! The food is amazing and the menu has lots of options. They are a bit in the pricier side, but the quality is worth the price. The staff are very nice and always make sure you have everything you need. The inside is smaller so not ideal for huge groups, but it’s a very cozy place and perfect for dining in or out. Highly recommend all of their dishes and their Thai tea is sooo good!

We were craving some Thai and had just happened by this place the day before. We decided to try it out. We ordered the massaman curry, yellow curry, crab rangoons, and Thai shumai, as well as the Thai iced tea, and all of it was amazing! All of the employees were kind and attentive, and loved to chat! Great experience and wonderful atmosphere!

Excellent! I was in Bloomington and thought Thai would be a treat. Googled Thai nearest me and chose the restaurant with highest review. When I arrived, I was wondering, by the outside vegetation, if it was open….but other cars arrived and I went in.
So very happy I did give it a try! Very clean inside and comfortable. Customer service was a 10/10 as well as my meal.

I tried their combo with Thai red curry and also calamari rings with thai sweet sauce, indian curry noodle soup and Thai iced tea. Breaded coating around calamari rings is not great and based on my experience from other thai restaurants in town they usually toss them in sauce before serving. Thai red curry and indian curry noodle soup are obviously good. Also tried other dishes fried ice cream which sounds crazy but it’s a different experience . Spring rolls, noodles.

genuinely the best Thai food in town. beats all the others in various dishes, it’s just not as “known” due to location being off 4th street but it’s better than the others. it’s also cheaper than others and you get a nice portion size.

We have just put this into our regular rotation. The food is great, it is easy to order online and is ready quickly… unlike some of the other Thai places near us. The atmosphere is much more like a fast food restaurant than the other Thai places, which is why I think it’s easier to get food quickly. The food quality is just as good as the fancier places.
