A Carrington
So after seeing Mr. ChimeTime review a Haitian restaurant in Stone Mountain,I decided to try Haitian food for the first time today. Now I lived in South Florida for several years and never tried Haitian food because I assumed that it was all pork.
Anyway, I did some research and decided to give this restaurant a try. I made my husband drive approximately 24 minutes to retrieve the order. Tell me why the fried turkey order was 98% fat and we were charged a total of $23 and some change for fried turkey fat and rice and plantains. The meat was so fatty that I was applaud they had the audacity to add it to my plate, especially after he requested for the meat to be fried extra crispy. Like, how do you place a whole bunch of fatty meat on a customer and charge them? How dare you? I tried to call and request a refund, but it looks like I have to call my bank because I’m not going for it!!!
Although the black rice was very tasty. The turkey seem like it would’ve tasted great also, if it was actual meat. I also tried to fish patties, and I didn’t care for them a very pungent taste and oily. The patties were also very small for the price point of two dollars apiece.
Overall, I’m very upset that they played in my face and put fat meat on my plate. Also upset because they seem like they have potential to be a decent place if they respected their customers.

Under NEW Management,
I ordered a legume. I use to pay 13$ these ppl Done charge me 22 damn dollars and said the food is way better (how dare you) There Is nothing better about this. Especially after I was left on hold for 11 minutes, they only put two pieces of meat in there.

The food was okay, but unfortunately, there were a few issues. They forgot to include in the bag, ✌️ which was inconvenient. I placed my order ahead of time, but still had to wait 15–20 minutes after arriving, even though I drove 20 minutes to get there.(Highway OTR)Please try to have the food ready on time in the future. It would really improve the experience.
Love my Haitian food till death

Most disappointing experience. They refused to answer the phone, actually I believe it was disconnected. Once I came in, I waited for like 6 mins calling for help, as no one was at the front. Took forever for someone to come to the front. I’ve come in twice for Haitian bread and they didn’t have it. They told me they get bread in Tuesday. It’s Tuesday yet they still have no bread. It’s really sad honestly because I drive out of my way to come here. Never again

I rarely write reviews, so that speaks volumes! I waited 30 minutes for my meal, only to receive three (3) oxtails (I wish I were exaggerating) on my plate for $30.80. The oxtails were extremely tough and difficult to eat, which was disappointing given I only had 3.
The only positive is the flavor of both the oxtails and the rice was good, but it wasn’t enough to redeem the experience. Unfortunately, I WILL NOT be supporting this restaurant again!!!

The platters are always good, but the patties barely have anything in it. Mostly bread and I really dislike it. A meat or fish patty needs to be filled with whatever it’s supposed to have in it. The food takes a LONG time even when you call ahead. I don’t understand WHYYYY!? There often is no one at the counter to greet you when you arrive, and no one comes out for several minutes. Not sure if they can even hear when customers come in, but it’s not a welcoming space. There is seating on the other side, but construction, traffic and parking are also issues when you arrive.

The food was well seasoned and the plate had sooooo much food! It took me two days to finish! I will definitely return. I am hoping that I can try their patties next time. I ordered Tasso chicken with rice and beans. It comes with salad and plantain.

This is about the fourth time that I have purchased food from this restaurant. I’ve never had a bad experience in the past, but yesterday‘s purchase truly upset me. Traffic was already bad and it took me 45 minutes to get there. I ordered over the phone. I wanted to do chicken and black rice with greot. when I picked up the food, the lady showed me one platter, which was the chicken so I automatically assume that the pork was on the bottom so I never asked to see it. The prices were extremely higher than usual. I paid $44 for two just to find out halfway home that my greot was not there. She made me two chicken.
I didn’t bother to make a big issue about it so I kept the chicken. The platters were packed, of course very filling where I had so much leftovers for today. This afternoon I warmed up my food while eating the rice. A super large fingernail was in my food! I immediately begin throwing up! I would have taken a picture, but every time I looked at it I began to vomit. I just moved the trashcan to the counter and slid everything in!! That was the most disgusting thing that has ever happened to me, especially at this restaurant. I will no longer be purchasing from here

This place has been on my list for a while now and I’m so happy that I finally got to go. The food was delicious and just like I remember from living in South Florida. I ordered griot and black rice and maybe paid $15. I got a huge portion, enough for about 2 or 3 meals. They gave you a big cup of sauce/gravy and pikliz. The pikliz wasn’t fresh or hot at all which was disappointing…The guy that took my order was very nice. I’ll be back.
