Tried Shah’s Halal Food in Cliffside Park. I had the chicken & lamb combo, delicious. My wife had the chicken platter with rice and veggies, she loves it! I’d definitely go back. The manager Yasser was very welcoming and knowledgeable about the food. The Only thing: they went heavy on the white sauce. Next time, I’ll ask for it on the side. Still worth it.

Shah’s Halal is such a great addition to Cliffside Park! They started as a single food cart in Queens back in 2005, and now they’ve grown into a 100% Halal-certified international brand with 120+ locations and it’s easy to see why. Their food is consistently fresh, flavorful, and made with humanely sourced meats and crisp veggies.
The menu has something for everyone: platters, gyros, burgers, salads, and even vegan options. And of course, the legendary white sauce… it’s a must. I always ask for extra because it truly makes every bite better.
I tried the cheesesteak and it was incredibly comforting and packed with flavor. If you’re craving Halal, this is the spot plus they’re open late! Highly recommend checking them out.

I bought the Chicken & Lamb Combo Over Rice. It wasn’t bad but could use more flavor. My BIGGEST complaint is the portions.
When you have Places like “Blazin Chicken” who give nearly double the food & are CHEAPER, why would I come here? My friend & I were surprised by the portions since we paid $32 for two platters & two drinks (I paid $26 at BLAZIN for the same order & got more food.) The guy serving the food was very nice so customer service was great.

The service was chill, environment was inviting and the food was yummy and filling, especially for the price. I love that the location was convenient. Would recommend a light drizzle of the red sauce and a fair amount of white on a lamb gyro. Chickpeas, cucumber, lettuce, tomatoes. Real yummy stuff.
Oh and the baklava finishes the meal perfectly!

Shah’s halal is one of my all-time favorites. I usually use DoorDash, but I visited this location in person for the first time. I was amazed my Onur’s customer service today. He greets everyone with a smile and works very hard. I hope he gets the recognition he deserves. Thank you Onur, my husband and I appreciate you!

I’m very mixed about this place. I’ve ordered twice through Uber Eats and here’s my honest take.
Taste is great. Food is well seasoned and delicious.
As for my major issue, both times I have specifically asked for only lettuce and rice along with the meat in my combo platter. That and sauce on the side. Both times my specific instructions were blatantly ignored no matter how detailed I wrote the instructions. This just makes me believe either the people who work there don’t care or do not take the time to read specific instructions which is awful service as these are options provided by the business.
Please do better.
