I was looking specifically for a new Chinese restaurant. The one we frequented changed ownership and was horrible. So I did a search for all Chinese restaurants near us. I decided on Hot Wok because their reviews were pretty good. So I drove the 35 miles from Woodville and I’m so glad I did. FANTASTIC!!! The food went above and beyond my expectations. It’s a small hole in the wall, and not the cleanest place either. But you overlook all of that upon taking the first bite. I had the #9 special, sweet and sour chicken, General Tso’s chicken with pork fried rice. Again, it was fantastic! My husband had the curry chicken and absolutely loved it. They give you a lot of food, so we will happily have it for lunch and later for dinner. I highly recommend Hot Wok. Dine in or take out. Definitely our new Chinese go-to!

Nothing special about both dishes. Shrimp and broccoli was ok. Shrimp was juicy and big! My dish also came with pork fried rice and an egg roll. Food was cooked upon ordering. Very small establishment with seating inside. House special Lo main was ok as well. My daughter liked it.

Walking up, I was very confused about why there was no entrance or opening to get to the counter. However there was a boxed window that had a sign to call in to place our order. So that’s what we did. We ordered a 3 meats dinner meal with 4 different kind of chicken. It was a lot of food for 1 person. I shared that with my husband but also got a small side of sweet and sour pork. In each piece of fried dough, there wasn’t a lot of pork in there. I assumed it was maybe due to making sure pork was cooked properly as I have had bad experiences with that in the past. Whatever the reason may be, I wish it had more meat in it. The sweet and sour Chicken had more meat in the batter.
Waited in the parking lot for about 15 min.
Fried rice was absolutely delicious.
My Sweet and sour sauce tasted better with My leftovers the next day.
Overall… I’d go again and try different dishes. Miss eating Chinese food and totally hit the spot.

Hard to come through lumberton without stopping at this hole in the wall. No drinks here but the food is phenomenal. The fried rice is good enough to eat by itself! I had arleady done some damage before taking the pictures.sorry. One is (spicy) kung pow chicken with fried rice and eggroll one is beef with Chinese vegetables, fried rice, and eggroll.

The shop could use a little work I’ll admit. It’s not A+ Chinese but it beats frozen Chinese. And it’s made hot and fresh in front of you. I like the Sesame Chicken and the Sweet and Sour Chicken and Pork. The fried rice and the Lo Mein is also, I recommend the shrimp lo mein the most. The eggrolls are better than the frozen kind.

we usually love HOT WOK but we had an incident tonight where my husband and my 4 year old shared the singapore mei fun and it was my husband who almost swallowed what looks to be a brillo pad piece!!
i’m just glad my 4 year old wasn’t the one who got this as they had shared this plate luckily my husband choked it up before it was to late!

It was great. Can’t wait till the Plandemic is over for a eat in experience. I picked up lunch combos for 10 guys, and all orders were correct and no one complained. It definitely fills you up! Will recommend this restaurant.
