The (mostly) positive: the tom yum soup was very flavorful and chock full of mushrooms, pork (my chosen protein), and delightful crunchy cilantro stem pieces. However, I was excited to see they had a non-spicy option since at most places it is spicy. It was still a bit spicy – I don’t think it would bother most but when I ask for non-spicy I literally want no heat/spice at all. Also the container was not as large as I’ve gotten for soup from other Thai places. As much as I like the stuff in the soup, I also would have liked more liquid too without having to water it down.
Their crab rangoons are so addictive! Their fried rice was incredible also! The mushroom and taro puffs were flaky and filling! The drinks were fun and innovative.
It’s an overall amazing experience. This will be my go to when I’m in the area for sure!
Pros:
Delicious food
Great atmosphere
Excellent service
Variety of options
Cons:
Parking can be hard to get.
We ordered Udon Basil noodles with Tofu and Tofu Royal Curry. The noodles had a good char flavor, but the curry was okaish.
Food:
Crispy Chicken Basil – Unlike other places, this has real slices of chicken. It was cooked to perfection and perfectly breaded. The peppers and onions were sliced a bit large but not inedible in size. This dish is typically a little spicy but the dish I got had a very low spice on it. The only thing I would suggest is making this slightly more spicy.
Vegetable Basil – Like the Crispy Chicken Basil but with veggies instead. Weirdly, it seemed that this version of the dish had a runnier sauce with less spice. But, it was still pretty decent!
Boba:
Strawberry smoothie – Decent smoothie but it seemed more like a milk smoothie and less like a strawberry smoothie. In that case, this should be called a strawberry shake. Shakes are typically dairy based while smoothies are fruit based. It’s just semantics but it led to a drink that was unexpected.
Taro Tea – As one would expect from a Taro tea. It was flavorful. 🙂
