We have absolutely fallen in love with this place! From the delicious food to the phenomenal cocktails – this place is a 10 out of 10. Consider yourself lucky if Jay is taking care of you. Great service and a master at making beverages, alcoholic and non-alcoholic gems are his specialty! Do yourself a favor and check it out.

Disappointing first order via Instacart / Uber Eats. The mango fried rice was full of a surprisingly nice variety of veggies but zero tofu when I selected tofu + veggies and was counting on that protein. And the chunks of mango were very mushy, dark, and overripe. The mango on the sticky rice was not the worst I’ve gotten off-season but not that enjoyable. I was afraid it was moldy because the sticky rice was a weird gray-green color. I actually called to check. After learning that it was colored by pandan (which I have enjoyed before in other ways), I ventured to eat more but overall it was one of my least favorite mango sticky rices. It would have helped to call out that it’s a pandan mango sticky rice since they’re departing from the standard.

The (mostly) positive: the tom yum soup was very flavorful and chock full of mushrooms, pork (my chosen protein), and delightful crunchy cilantro stem pieces. However, I was excited to see they had a non-spicy option since at most places it is spicy. It was still a bit spicy – I don’t think it would bother most but when I ask for non-spicy I literally want no heat/spice at all. Also the container was not as large as I’ve gotten for soup from other Thai places. As much as I like the stuff in the soup, I also would have liked more liquid too without having to water it down.

If you’re in the area and not sure where to go eat, choose Siam Ginger! I can’t believe it took me this long to try them out. I’ve tried many different restaurants around and on Bow Street and they were a disappointment. I wish I found Siam Ginger earlier!

Their crab rangoons are so addictive! Their fried rice was incredible also! The mushroom and taro puffs were flaky and filling! The drinks were fun and innovative.

It’s an overall amazing experience. This will be my go to when I’m in the area for sure!

The food lacked flavor, and unfortunately, none of the three dishes we tried were enjoyable. I hope the chef can be guided, as Thai cuisine is known for its wonderful flavors.

Siam Ginger Thai restaurant is a great place to go for a delicious and authentic Thai meal. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, and the service is excellent. The food is fresh and flavorful, and there is something for everyone on the menu.

Pros:

Delicious food
Great atmosphere
Excellent service
Variety of options

Cons:

Parking can be hard to get.

We ordered Udon Basil noodles with Tofu and Tofu Royal Curry. The noodles had a good char flavor, but the curry was okaish.

We had drinks, apps and entrees today and everything was tasted amazing. The bartender was very nice and made us some fantastic drinks. I usually order the same drinks and he made us some that I’d never thought to order before and I really enjoyed them. The crab rangoons had a touch of curry in them which gave them a nice kick of flavor. Highly recommend this place and I’m looking forward to becoming a regular haha

The food at this place is honestly great. Some of the best Thai food around. You will not be disappointed and I am so happy to have a place like this close by.

TL;DR: The portions were good and the staff was very kind. Their ‘spicy’ isn’t that spicy so don’t feel worried about the ️ ratings.

Food:

Crispy Chicken Basil – Unlike other places, this has real slices of chicken. It was cooked to perfection and perfectly breaded. The peppers and onions were sliced a bit large but not inedible in size. This dish is typically a little spicy but the dish I got had a very low spice on it. The only thing I would suggest is making this slightly more spicy.

Vegetable Basil – Like the Crispy Chicken Basil but with veggies instead. Weirdly, it seemed that this version of the dish had a runnier sauce with less spice. But, it was still pretty decent!

Boba:

Strawberry smoothie – Decent smoothie but it seemed more like a milk smoothie and less like a strawberry smoothie. In that case, this should be called a strawberry shake. Shakes are typically dairy based while smoothies are fruit based. It’s just semantics but it led to a drink that was unexpected.

Taro Tea – As one would expect from a Taro tea. It was flavorful. 🙂

Decent food and great service. We showed up mid-afternoon and there was no one there except us. We were greeted by a friendly waiter who showed us where to sit. In terms of the food, the Pad Thai was decent, although I would have preferred more chicken. The prices were standard for Thai food and the area. Overall, would go back!

We went there last night and the bartender was excellent. He was super fast and knowledgeable about the menu. Our food came out quick and we hung out at the bar and enjoyed the art and atmosphere. Crab Rangoon had a curry kick and drunken noodle was FIRE. We finished off with cocktails and fried ice cream/ banana and could barely walk out. If you want fast and delicious and not too expensive and good drinks for a Friday night, hit them up!!!!
