What a great find! Had dinner at this restaurant and I’m glad I came across this place. A few of the ones I ordered were their pad thai, soft shell crabs and red curry – and they were very tasty! The service was amazing and I can’t wait to be back!

Have been eating here for about a year. The food is pretty good. I would recommend the Prik Khing, pineapple fried rice, chow mein (for my kids), pad see ew and I like the curry, although it’s pretty watery. I would not recommend the vegetable Tom Kha as it is mostly cabbage, onions, bamboo shoots and some green leaves, or the Pad Thai as it’s pretty dry (needs more sauce) and doesn’t taste as good.

So delicious. We got the veggie Tom yum (medium was fire spicy for me but delicious none the less). Pad see ew w/chicken was delicious. The soft shell crab panang curry medium (spicy but good balance of tolerable heat and flavor) plus the spicy eggplant with tofu was bomb (we got medium which was the right spice level for me).
All in all a very delicious meal, great service, clean restaurant… couldn’t ask for anything more. All four dishes with tax and tip were $72 with enough leftovers for the two of us to have lunch the next day

Kao Hom Thai Cuisine is one of my favorite restaurants in Lake Balboa for authentic Thai flavors!
What We Ordered:
Soft Shell Crab Kapow: Perfectly crispy and flavorful, with fresh basil and bell peppers in a spicy sauce. A must-try for seafood lovers.
Chicken Wings: Crispy and juicy, served with a tangy dipping sauce. Perfect as a starter.
Chicken Drunken Noodles: Savory noodles with tender chicken and fresh veggies, all enhanced by aromatic basil. Delicious!
Mango Sticky Rice: Sweet and satisfying, with ripe mango and creamy coconut-infused sticky rice. A great way to end the meal.
Note: We ordered mild spicy, but it was quite hot, even with our decent spice tolerances. Be sure to adjust the spice level if you prefer less heat!
Overall, Kao Hom offers delicious dishes, generous portions, and friendly service. Definitely worth a visit!

I cannot believe I haven’t written a review for this place yet. I’ve been coming here for over a year. It is ALWAYS good. Always the same consistent dishes. Some of the best appetizers, curry and crying tiger steak here. It is run by an authentic Thai family. They are lovely.

This place is an absolute gem! After trying quite a few Thai food restaurants in the valley, this is by far the best! It’s run by a family and it’s an easy tell how much they love/care about what they do! They offer an extensive menu including not only a wide variety of Thai food, but also some other Asian fusion. This place is also clean and cozy, it feels so warm with their heartfelt service! Will keep coming back to try out all the different items on the menu! Parking is limited in this plaza, but it’s never an issue on weekdays. recommended if love Thai food!

This place is excellent! So much flavor and everything is so fresh, but they do serve smaller than normal portions, which is fine because of how delicious it all is. We had the Basil Fried Rice, which was amazing, the Pad See Ew which was perfect, the Tom Ka Chicken soup was okay, but could have had more coconut milk and been thicker. The Masaman Beef was amazing the first time we had it, super tender and perfect, but the second time we had it, the meat was pretty tough, so I guess it depends on what day you go, but the Masaman curry sauce was very good. They also have excellent Fried Spring Rolls and their Thai tea is good. The girl who is usually here is really nice, and they are quick. I really want to try the Mango Sticky Rice, it looks really yummy 🙂

Simply amazing ! The food is flavorful, comforting and expertly prepared with care. The service is top notch and genuine! The ladies usually hold it down in there but this review is inspired by Chan and his fine work this evening. I was already a fan but now I’ll be a regular. Highly recommend!
