We are a local coffee shop/cafe in Meigs County in the beautiful downtown Pomeroy, Ohio area that has fresh specialty coffee drinks, tea, smoothies, or Italian soda. We roast our own coffee and serve fair trade/organic specialty coffee roasted in small batches. Not in the mood for coffee? Try our hot chocolate! People love it and we use only the best Ghirardelli chocolate. We have breakfast, brunch, and lunch options like; quiche, waffles, breakfast sandwiches, pastries, bagels, salads, soup, and panini sandwiches.

A true local treasure! Warm and inviting, the staff is always welcoming, friendly and courteous! The coffee and food are absolutely exceptional. They roast their own beans and both the drinks and food are prepared to order. Additionally, the incredible pastries are made in house! I’ve traveled and lived all over this country and I’m always amazed at how fortunate we are to have a place like River Roasters right here in this area!

I genuinely consider myself a kind person and someone who gets excited over the little things, so I was really looking forward to trying this small town coffee shop after seeing it on TikTok. Unfortunately, my experience was extremely disappointing. The barista rolled her eyes while taking my order and came across very rude, which immediately made the visit uncomfortable. The coffee itself was poorly made and extremely overpriced for the quality. I also ordered the loaded BLT, which tasted awful and actually made me sick for days afterward. I hate leaving negative reviews, but this experience was genuinely one of the worst I’ve had at a coffee shop. Sadly, I won’t be coming back.

The only thing to be sad about is not making the drive to try this place out earlier. If I lived in Pomeroy, Ohio, this would be my daily local shop, no questions asked. I’m saying that based on my first experience, the environment was very clean, with several comfy seating options and a lovely window bar facing the beautiful Ohio River. Excellent outdoor seating as well, with the same view and a very nice selection of breakfast and lunch sandwiches. I had the Cali chicken club, and it was freaking amazing. It tasted like something out of a high-dollar restaurant and was presented picture perfect as well for the coffee. I got a double iced hazelnut oat milk, shaken espresso. It’s an amazing drink that crappy corporate Starbucks fails to duplicate in every which way. This is what coffee should taste like. Support your local business.

I loved my latte with a beautiful rosetta on top. The sausage and cheese quiche was scrumptious. It was difficult to decide what to order, as everything looked so delicious. Have to get back there soon.

You can’t go wrong with anything you order here. My favorite place in the county to eat and the best coffee anywhere around here.

Super cute place. We stopped by while passing through town. The staff was friendly and helpful and QUICK! MY husband got a strawberry smoothie, which he loved, and I got an iced mocha with raspberry that was delicious. The outdoor seating had a beautiful view of the Ohio River.

My first time in here, but the coffee was good and didn’t scorch my tonsils with my first drink. I purchased a blueberry breakfast cookie which was simply amazing. Next time I am back in my hometown, I will sample the lunch menu, but it looked solid with wraps and salads.
