Don’t sleep on this place. I wish i had seen this place recommended a long time ago.

Absolutely the best garlic knots I have ever had (soft, buttery, garlicky).

Takeout only so the atmosphere is a commercial kitchen but I’m from NJ so this makes me feel like I’m back every time I walk in.

Everything has been fantastic every time we order from here. Ordering through the app or in person is quick and easy.

Prices are decent and everything is always fresh.

EDIT: save the garlic knot container to dip the pizza crust or drizzle on your pizza!

So here’s how my night went down. Sunday. I’m starving, went to Shake Shack. Their burger was tiny so I’m still starving. Then a little birdie tells me about this place nearby. I order a large pepperoni+mushroms+garlic+kalmatta olives. Oh M G. This is some of the best pizza I’ve ever had. Toppings were good and plentiful and the crust was just perfect. Crisped up just enough to support the weight of it all. Very good flavor.

Now the place is hard to find, kind of ‘nestled’ in beside a number of ethnic Vietnamese places but don’t let that dissuade you. Find it. You’ve got to try this place if you’re a pizza guy, pizza girl, or even if you’re a pizza non binary!

The only problem I’m having now is how to reconcile this experience with my love for Leonardo’s. It’s like loving two ladies. The love for each is real and unique but so is the pain. Be strong. We can do this. Open communication. Going forward, honey, I need to be ethically pizza non monogamous. I’m hoping we can take this journey together.

Thanks guys!

I have lived in Richmond for over 40 years. How have I never been here? I’ve never had such Good pizza as I am currently eating! I got the Scott Carter special on thin crust, no mushrooms, added tomatoes. Perfect. I could eat this 7 days a week. Super nice owner/staff. The pizza was ready quickly. About 75% of their business is delivery but I went there to pick mine up.

This place uses borderline too much garlic in the best way! The Garlic Knots and the Honey Boy Pizza are our go toos and my standard Carbo Load when Half Marathon training. The website is a little janky, but I kind of love that it feels like ordering pizza in the 2000s lol. Also delivery is always super fast and free!! Definitely a must try.

Honestly this was great. First time here so I grabbed a speciality pizza (razorback), cheese bread, and an order of garlic knots (lots of fresh chopped garlic toppings). All three were excellent. Fresh high quality ingredients, house made dough and sauce. Will be back as this might be might new local pizza shop. Thanks.

Hard to find small pizza shop. Take out only. But soooo worth it! Great pizza, had supreme, loaded with toppings. The small Greek salad was PACKED full into 6″ container, loaded with feta, Kalamazoo olives, veggies. I’d go just for the salad alone! Only open 4-9pm…run! Go!

I highly recommend a visit to Sparrow’s Pizza. We drove 20 mins just to try it out and it was worth it! We got a lot of foos for our money. We ordered a large pizza, 1/2 cheese and 1/2 mushrooms, fried zucchini sticks, a small salad, and wings. My husband said the wings were really good! The portions are huge. We got the small salad and when they say packed…they mean packed. I had enough for two days. They use fresh dough and all the food was delicious!

If you’re thinking of ordering pizza from a chain, order from here instead. Pricing is in line with Domino’s (not cheap but fair), but the quality is in line with Papa John’s (above average).

Their dough is robust without being tough. The marinara has a nice tomato flavor, without being overly sweet or spicy. Everything was perfectly cooked. I’m only passing through on business, but I’ll be happy to come back if I come back this way. If you live nearby, you’re lucky.

Pictured are the garlic dough knots, the 14” (Large) Razorback, and the “raspberry swirled fried dough.”

We moved to Richmond two weeks ago, and today I decided to look up local pizza places. This one was a bit far from us (we are in Glen Allen) but reading the owner replies to the dumb bad reviews cracked me up. I decided to try it to see if the owner was delusional or he knew the food was so good that the bad reviews dont deserve the time of day….it was definitely the latter. I bought a bunch of different items and everything was great.

The boneless wings were decent, not the greatest but youre here for pizza and that was absolutely phenomenal. I will absolutely make the drive to Sparrows whenever we are getting pizza takeout, so worth it.

Thank you for the great food and the entertainment with the review replies lol
