I was able to sit in the back corner at a large table.
Both servers were professional and welcoming. Phenomenal French onion soup. Excellent turkey club sandwich. Perfect Shirley Temple.

Everything we had was delicious. My husband had a bowl of New England Chowder and a turkey club sandwich. I had the pear salad with grilled sea scallops (pictured.) Portions were generous so did not order dessert. We would definitely dine here again.

Food was just average. We ordered stuffed mushrooms, NE clam chowder, fillet mignon, and a veggie burger. All dishes lacked flavor and seasoning. Drinks were good. The restaurant is cute, cozy, and decorated with fresh flowers. We also ordered a coffee which was room temperature and did not taste fresh.

Excellent recipes, absolutely exceptional service. There were several specials of the day, different from the main menu but similarly interesting and similarly priced. We had a large group, and the owner and staff were welcoming and totally accommodating. Server Erica and assistant were friendly, communicative, and helpful; despite our nonstop conversation, people around the table kept commenting on how good they were. There was no problem with keeping the orders straight and providing accurate separate checks. Prices were totally reasonable for the quality of the food and overall experience.

Decided to try this place after driving by for a few years. It never looks that busy but that’s because it is small. Immediately impressed with the service. The food was solid. My salmon piccacta needed sauce but the salmon was cooked perfectly. Drinks were STRONG, almost too strong (is that a bad thing?) Bread, stuffed mushrooms, sides, desert…all amazing. The owner is present, engaged and polite.

raveling through the area and stumbled upon this restaurant. We arrived at 815 p.m., and the restaurant closes at 9 pm. We didn’t want to bother the restaurant staff, so we’re were initially rushing to put in our order. However, our waitress was absolutely outstanding and told us not to worry and that we had plenty of time! She was incredibly warm and knowledgeable of the menu as well.

The food arrived shortly after placing our order and was deliciously hot (temperature) and flavorful. The bread, our appetizer, meals, and desserts were delicious. We enjoyed every single bit.

Furthermore, the restaurants atmosphere was incredibly friendly and clean. We wish we didn’t live so far away so that we could be regulars there. Highly recommend going if you live close by or are passing through!

Never again! The owner or whoever that person was, was so rude and abrasive. If you have reservations and booked solid for the evening, perhaps placing a note on the doors stating Reservations Only would be helpful and walk-in diners wouldn’t, you know, walk-in for dinner. My friend and I arrived minutes to 4:00. I guess her reserved guests were due to begin arrival at 6:00. Either seat us away from the area you have to get ready or put a sign on the door. Instead you seat us in the space you need and tell us you’re booked solid. May friend’s Cobb salad was good. My burger was dry and over done. Didn’t send it back, because I will never return there.

OH my god! This is what we were looking for! We wanted authentic good cooking, and we found it. We had the scrod Milanese and shrimp scampi. Holy moley. It’s like going to grandmas for Sunday supper. Samantha was helpful friendly and did a fabulous job! If you are wondering if you should try it-don’t wonder, just go!

It was my first time and one of thee best dinners I’ve had in Connecticut. My parents have never had a bad meal here either. If you’re down by the shore, I highly recommend Nancy’s Rosemary & Sage. This quaint little place has high-quality fresh food cooked just right. Very impressed!
