Finally found a Korean place that opens late in Gardena! Chondak opens daily from 3-2am .
They’ve been in the business for 23years! It’s an OG Korean Spot in Gardena. I met the owner Jennie, she is so sweet recommended me with their popular dishes, she also works really hard as a business owner and helps out cooking and serving as well. Ambiance is cozy and has plenty of seating, they have plenty of Korean food options to choose from, also different options of alcohol and non alcohol drinks! The food is soo good! The portion is big and definitely good for sharing, this is a good place to catch up with some friends and convenient since they open until 2am daily. The roasted whole chicken was soo flavorful, not soggy, crispy and has 3 different of sauces to choose from. The bulgogi fries with melted cheese is my favorite is soo tasty with crispy fries everything blended soo well. I highly recommend it, the appetizer platter is so huge and all my favorites are included like, tteokbokki, ramen, blood sausage, seaweed rolls and dumpling.

I’m definitely going to comeback here and will be my Korean go to spot in Gardena.

What I got:
Bulgogi fries
Roasted Fried Whole Chicken
Appetizers including
Tteokbokki, blood sausage, ramen, dumplings, and seaweed rolls.

Amazing spot! The food was absolutely delicious, the music was great, and the service was very friendly. This is the perfect place to stop after a concert—whether you’re heading back to Irvine, San Diego, or TJ, or you just don’t want to settle for fast food when you’re really hungry. I truly loved this place. Portions are huge, so come hungry or be ready to take some home!

The atmosphere is great here at Chon Dak! They got your favorite K-pop artist playing on the speakers while you enjoy their delicious food. Service is top notch as they even help with serving your food. As for the food, the pictures speak for themselves! Delicious, fresh, and flavorful. Will definitely come back when we visit from San Diego again!

Solid late-night spot in Gardena. They’re one of the only places in the South Bay open until 2AM, which makes it a go-to when I don’t feel like driving to Ktown. Food is classic Korean pub style. We got the rotisserie chicken, kimchi fried rice, bulgogi fries & tteokbokki, along with of course soju & beer. The chicken is for sure the star of the show here. Portions are decent and good for sharing. The place itself is casual and comfortable, and service is good. Definitely nice to have a local option that stays open late.

I went here based on an Instragram post and what a disappointment. The sauces for their chicken were tiny compared to what was shown on social media. The entire place was also really dirty. If you are in the food services industry, why would you keep your restaurant so dirty? They even gave us dirty plates and the first dish we ordered, the chicken tasted days old. Also, ordering takes place on an electronic tablet at the table and there’s no option to have certain orders “to go” yet the waitress complained that we did not tell her we wanted an order to go. It’s kind of hard to do when there’s no “to go” option on the tablet and the waitress only comes out if you place an order on the tablet. The tablet also doesn’t give you an option to pay on it so I had to request the check on the tablet. Once we received the check, the waitress disappears so we have to request the check again to pay or wait for the waitress to come out again. It’s such an annoying system. You also have to order napkins and utensils through the system because the waitress does not automatically bring them out. Somehow, they assume you will not use napkins or utensils. Their customer service is very poor. The place wreaks of laziness. Everything is so dirty and the waiters/waitresses don’t do anything until you request it on a tablet. It was one of the worst dining experiences of my life.

This place has some of the best roasted chicken around! They made it fresh every hour.

The army stew ( ramen, spicy rice cake ) is so comforting and good to share! I love their deep fried seaweed roll & fried dumplings. The bulgogi fries is so crunchy! With cheese as an add on is is a must

This spot is great for friends & family hangout – they open till 2am! Service is friendly and fast – she always check in with us which we appreciate!

Late night eats and drinks in Los Angeles! This spot is perfect to satisfy late night cravings with korean street/pub food, including tteokbokki, bulgogi fries, fried chicken, alcohol and much more.
We ordered the whole fried chicken that they split in front of you. It was juicy, crispy and crunchy and paired nicely with the three sauces provided.
The bulgogi fries were topped with corn cheese, which tasted amazing! Its drizzled with similar sauce as the dipping sauce for chicken. The fries were crispy.
The green onion and seafood pancake was jam packed with green onions and seafood in every slice. Would have been even better if it was crispier.
The tteokbokki with added ramen is such a comfort meal! It has a mild kick to it.
They have a parking lot that is shared with some of the small businesses in the plaza. The water is self serve. They have cups and several containers of cold water on the countertops with easy access. You can order and ring for service using the tablet on the table.
Overall, a great place to visit after events since they’re open late everyday!

Came here after visiting my family in the area. This spot has been here for years, so why not try it now?

Parking: There’s a medium sized parking lot, so finding a spot can be easy.

Ambiance/Environment: You can tell this restaurant has been here for a long time. We were greeted right when we entered. It was empty when we visited at 5pm, but it became more busy during their dinner rush.

Service: Shout out to Jenny! She was wonderful, quick, & efficient. She’s very knowledgeable about the menu. She does speak English, and there were a couple Spanish speaking servers. You’d self order from the tablet and pay at the end.

Menu items:

1) Whole Roast Chicken – I saw this on their social media, so I had to try this also lol. It’s literally a whole chicken. Tasted really good and cooked well. It came with 3 sauces, and it tasted even better. Make sure to dip! This is shareable at least between 3-4 people.

2) Kimchi Fried Rice – My favorite side dish! Sooo delicious! Other than the egg, it doesn’t come with any protein.

3) Bulgogi Fries w/ filled corn cheese – Jenny recommended this to us with corn cheese. Wow! There was a generous amount of bulgogi, and the corn cheese made it even tastier!

4) Seafood & Green Onion Pancake – I love Korean pancakes! There was A LOT of green onions. There were also pieces of shrimp. Could use a bit more shrimp but still good!

5) Spicy Rice Cake w/ ramen noodles – Presentation is on point! There were a generous amount of toppings and sides that came with this! This was a very rich dish. The ramen made it even more fulfilling lol. Make sure to mix everything well!

Pricing: My bf and I enjoyed everything! This definitely satisfied our Korean-comfort-food cravings haha! Everything is shareable between 3-4 people, so I’d say it’s worth its price.
