Saw that a lot of the one-star reviews speak to their customer service but I can’t comment on that or their times. Sister brought food home. I could tell I wasn’t in Jamaica because I actually got a lot of curry gravy. The pasta was great, the rice was nice… the chicken was over-seasoned and the curry gravy was a little salty, but everything was edible. Would have to try more meals for fair assessment.

I had a great experience with the staff, everyone was lively. I saw the reviews prior and expected mean staff, but everyone was amazing. I think the people with bad experiences sometimes might start off being rude or intolerable so the staff might not always be AS NICE as they can be.
Oxtail dish was missing SOMETHING, couldn’t put my finger on it. I just wanted authentic food to remind me of my granny; maybe I should have gotten the brown stew chicken.

To be fair I don’t know what happened but the jerk pork was dry, bland ( I have Caucasians friends that make better jerk, pork)and are they arrogant of flavor.
So to be fair, I’m a chef, but I have not been working my food truck. It’s being built and I’m picking it up tomorrow. In fact, however I get it. They probably make it in the oven. Unlike me. I make my jerk, pork and chicken and ribs and everything over fire coal, but I’ve been in this place before picking up orders for DoorDash over the last few months. I’ve been doing that for extra money and it always smells amazing and they’ve been there a couple times. This food was dry flavorless and the jerk sauce with some ketchup I don’t know what.

I previously wrote a negative review, however, this is one of my teenage son’s favorite restaurants. Recently, I went to get my son food. The workers weren’t friendly but attentive and professional. The food was fresh, my son highly recommends curry chicken and rice & peas.

The servers are very slow and the cashier had an attitude like she didn’t want to be there. I ordered snapper with rice and veg and festival and chicken Alfredo which are “made to the order.” There was a miscommunication or lack of professionalism or both because after waiting 20 minutes I asked about my order and everyone seemed confused because my made to order items were not done or started on. The snapper looked like it’s been sitting under the heat lamp all day. I spent 40 minutes total in the restaurant waiting so I canceled my order and got a refund. My first and LAST time going there!

The staff are amazing, friendly and welcoming and the restaurant has lots of seating. If you love great Jamaican food and a relaxed vibe, this is the spot to be!
