Makes my top three of best restaurants in town!! Great for any occasion from brunch to date night. Servers have been very attentive. Ambiance is classy yet welcoming. Save room for a cocktail or two! Looking forward to going back soon for birthday festivities.

My first clue should have been the fact the restaurant was dead on a Saturday night at 6:30 pm. I was trying to have a birthday dinner with my son and we both ordered steaks. His was medium and mine well done. The pictures below were of my “well done” steak. Very pink on the inside and pieces were like charcoal on the outside. I showed the waitress and she said sorry and walked away. I put about half of the steak that was inedible in bar napkins. Some of it was due to the excessive amount of grit that was not chewable, which both steaks had. Trying not to cause a scene in front of my son I sent him to get the car and asked for the manager to show them what I was served. I was told they were not available so I just left unhappy. I left a review for the restaurant and received a ridiculous reply from Ashley Chaney who is a principle of the business insinuating I should have handled it better at the time but they will use this to train staff to confirm food temperatures. This is not the reply I would expect to get from a business owner but it speaks volumes. Thank goodness there are plenty of great restaurants for us to try over the next 4 years while he is attending college.

Good lunch and dinner options. Fairly fast service, good lunch spot.
The menu is varied so something for everyone….appetizers, sandwiches, dinners, etc.
Full bar with liquor/beer options.
We enjoyed the heirloom tomato BLT and French dip. Edited to add the Katsu Eggplant sandwich is silly delicious, the wedge salad looks incredible, and the French fries are always great.
Have also previously enjoyed the chicken dandwich.

Came in with family for dinner. Server Hailey was very attentive despite the busy night service was good and food and drinks came out as expected. Highly recommend for casual dining!

The experience was well below average, considering the price. Every member of our party ordered the steak frites; regrettably, the accompanying fries were served cold and the steak was overcooked. Even after sending it back it was subpar. Furthermore, the service was disappointing , with considerable delays in all aspects, from getting our food order, receiving our drinks (which arrived after our food), and collecting our bill. Overall, the meal was, at best, unremarkable.

I’ve yet to have a proper dinner here yet. But I’ve gotten a quick bite and drinks at the bar a couple times. Each item I’ve tried was delicious. The bartenders are super friendly. And usually the folks around the bar are great at this spot also. I was impressed that they had a mocktail menu. I tried a friend’s spicy mango mocktail OMG it was DELICIOUS with a nice kick. It rivaled my actual cocktail. lol

I really enjoy coming to Hayward House.. Everytime I dine in the staff is so pleasant, I love how if they have the chance upper management will stop by to see if you are enjoying your meal or will see if you need anything. From Toni to Ashley… Blake & Steve they truly have made me and any guest I bring feel so welcome. I cant say I’ve ever had poor service but I will say after being in the food industry sometimes people have bad days, but I give second chances to get a full opinion. Will definitely be back again to try something off the new menu

The Whipped Feta and Pork Belly appetizers were pretty good. The Fries Chicken Sandwich was good but a tad on the burnt side. The Halibut was slightly overcooked. The Short Ribs pasta was great. Would return.

The indoor seating was fully booked due to the FSU graduation ceremony, so we were seated outside. The food ranged from average to above average, though the portions felt a bit small. Fortunately, the outdoor setting was more pleasant than expected, which made the experience enjoyable overall. However, parking was quite limited.

I went during a kinda slow period but it took a while to even get water and a menu which wasn’t ideal. Someone other than my server had to notice and come help out.
But other than that the food and drink were good! I had a peach cocktail and a fish wrap. They were both well made and tasted good. Nothing mind boggling but certainly satisfactory, and worth the cost.
