The service was very slow and extremely uninviting. I watched several table around me recieve water refills while I didn’t even get one glass. The server made us wait far too long before even offering to get us started with drinks, and in the end the food was only average.

Love this place, bar food is interesting but flavor not as good as there full menu! Crepes excellent, chicken, fish and appetizers outstanding. Great wine list. Our server made a mistake on our wine order once and totally covered cost of the higher bottle. We of course compensated on his tip! Surprised at these Low ratings, great and go often!

Very nice restaurant. Warm atmosphere. Great food. Love the crepes but also the cheese platter with a glass of wine. Wonderful. The service could be better but that can be said of most places lately. You won’t regret meeting friends and family here.

From the very moment I walked in the door and the hostess was incredibly rude, I was glad I was there for the cuisine and not for the customer service. The hostess was rude once again when I asked about our reservation, 15 minutes later… The food was good, yet it took about a half hour to an hour for each course to be delivered after it was placed. I can’t say I was impressed with the special “sweetbreads”… very salty, mashed potatos very gummy, pancetta very fatty and rubbery. Won’t be returning!

From the moment we walked in, they didn’t seem to care. Our server changed twice and the one the was supposed to wait on us, didn’t. Food was cold and horrible. Didn’t get what we asked for. No manager on duty. Place was a wreck. Other tables around us seem to be fine, but that is because they had an experienced server or someone who knew how to do her job. The other ones, didn’t seem like they know what they were doing or didn’t want to be there.

Just stopped off for a light lunch in this bistro, which we have been meaning to try out for a few months now. It was fairly quiet when we walked in, but we were kept waiting for a few minutes while a reservation was entered into the computer system. Ok.

Our server seemed nice enough. I ordered a Croque Madame sandwich; something I have ordered on several occasions in France. The food arrived quickly, and the undercooked egg on top of the sandwich concerned me, but I didn’t say anything and pushed the raw parts off the sandwich. Once I started eating, however, the overpowering taste of dijon mustard overtook everything else. Yuck. I put my cutlery down as I simply couldn’t stomach another bite.

The server did come and ask if I wanted another, but honestly, my stomach was still kind of churning from the undercooked egg and mustard.

The 1 star review is because we were charged the full $12 for a sandwich I barely touched. We should at least have been offered a discount for that item. The menu did not mention the mustard, or I would have ordered it without. Not a good experience and I certainly wouldn’t recommend the restaurant to anybody.

This is my second time at this restaurant… Having enjoyed a wonderful meal last time I decided that since I was in town I would return…

As you walk in the first you hear is the French music of Charles Trenét playing in the background setting the stage for what undoubtedly will be a fabulous dining experience. . .

Louis Charles Auguste Claude Trenet, known as Charles Trenet, was a French singer and songwriter. He was most famous for his recordings from the late 1930s until the mid-1950s, though his career continued through the 1990s. Wikipedia

Warmly greeted by the maître d’ I was immediately escorted to my table…

My server brought out warmed French rolls served with tapenade… Tapenade is a Provençal dish consisting of puréed or finely chopped olives, capers, anchovies and olive oil.

To cleanse the palate in preparation for the main event… A goat cheese salad consisting of mixed field greens, perfectly sliced apples and a breaded and fried round of goat cheese. All this dressed in a raspberry vinaigrette. Makes me want to learn French just to be able to tell the chef exactly how wonderful the salad was…

And for my main course this evening… the Dover Sole Almandine “fillet tableside” served with almonds, lemon butter and root vegetables… The mix this evening…baby carrots, turnips and green beans… and to complete the plating, a round of couscous garnished with a sprig of parsley, micro greens and a carved lemon half…

The tableside filleting of a Dover Sole something you should experience at least once in your life. My server became visibly nervous at the revelation that thousands of people would be viewing the procedure…

No fine dining experience would be complete without the desert… This evening’s selection along with my signature cappuccino will be at the Tarte Tatin, an upside down pastry filled with caramelized apples which is then baked to perfection… as with the other dishes…, the presentation is something to behold… Caramel sauce, ice cream and a raspberry garnished with mint leaf…

Simply spectacular!

First time having absinthe and the bartender was very professional and even accommodated my request for Hemingway’s “Death in the Afternoon” absinthe cocktail.

I’m so sad to see it has closed!!
