Wow! What great place to get a quick bite to eat! The cashier and cook were so nice and efficient. It was made to order. The cook asked for input for how much sauce we each wanted. The teriyaki chicken tasted wonderful and the portion size was enough for my husband and to eat and have a little left over. I hope to stop this restaurant again soon

A true hidden gem in Birmingham. This is THE best Japanese restaurant in town, owned by talented chefs. The food is very affordable and of high quality, especially compared to other Asian cuisine restaurants in the state. I truly hope this restaurant remains in Birmingham for a long time.

The hidden gem in Brookwood mall is Teriyaki Express. I can say without a doubt this place is a guilty pleasure because of the consistency they serve. It doesn’t have to be fancy to be good and this place is amazing. It will be a go to spot for me till it closes. I just hope they bundle this up in a food truck and get mobile to bring it to Southside.

Simple menu (meat, rice, veggies) but it’s cooked up on the flat top as people order so everything is fresh. You also get a lot on your plate. Meats available are chicken and shrimp. Rice options are fried or steamed. Veggies are the basic stir fry add ins. Add an egg roll and drink and stuff yourself silly in the food court for about $10.
