We had such a great experience at Ay Caramba! Our server, Adrian, was excellent—very attentive and welcoming throughout the meal. The burritos were absolutely crazy delicious with homemade tortillas that made all the difference. We also tried the flan, which they prepare in-house daily, and it was outstanding—creamy, fresh, and the perfect way to end the meal. Highly recommend this spot for anyone looking for authentic flavors and amazing service!

My children salad was really good,
They bring you 3 different Salsas that are also very good. This place is very clean and well run. The service was great and our servers were nice and friendly. Plenty of parking. Inside outside seating nestled in a valley surrounded by beautiful mountains located in the Prunedale. Be prepared to pay a little more than your typical Mexican restaurant… But well worth it!

This restaurant makes vegetarian substitutions for almost anything you want (even if it’s not listed on the menu). The fresh churros are absolutely to die for, crispy on the outside, and so light and fluffy on the inside and dusted in the perfect amount of cinnamon. Great local spot for a variety of members of the community to enjoy. You will not be disappointed!

Stopped here during a road trip. If we lived nearby we wouldn’t go back. Service was flat out zero. Food was mediocre at best. Chili Relleno is a good test of a Mexican restaurant and this was a total fail. It was lukewarm with the cheese inside not even melted. Sauce was ok. Overpriced as well, but I don’t mind paying for quality. Only reason for even 1 star was decent chips and salsa (which took 20 mins to even get to the table after arrival. Don’t usually like to give a poor review, but felt I had to in this case. If I were the owner I’d want to know about the negative experiences

The food and the atmosphere is out of this world and let me tell you something my girl and I are from Mexico and we know a thing or two about authentic Mexican food by the way every Friday this very nice beautiful lady named Nancy sing some of the best classics and popular songs. Trust me you will love it you can thank me later!!!

Okay, I gave it a couple of tries before writing a review. The restaurant itself is nice, I enjoy the use of space; clean, open, good light and comfortable seating. The food is definitely acceptable. Today we ordered a couple of Modelos and some Nachos (with the meat on the side). For our main course my Husband ordered a carnitas torta and I ordered cheese enchiladas. We had planned on enjoying our beverages and appetizer at a leisurely pace but everything came out at once. When we visit restaurants we like to enjoy ourselves, take our time and savor each course. I should have disclosed that I am a vegetarian, since to my surprise I noted bacon in the beans that I was served. Our waiter was kind enough replace them with refried beans. At the end of our meal we were presented with our bill and failed to notice that the advertised Tuesday senior discount wasn’t applied. (And we’re clearly seniors ) Anyway, we will give Ay Caramba one more shot sometime in the future.

After the Little League Championship baseball game, we chose to dine at this restaurant in support of one of the team’s sponsors—and we’re so glad we did! Our waitress was incredibly friendly and took the time to walk us through the menu, which we really appreciated.

The homemade chips and trio of salsas were absolutely delicious and set the tone for the meal. Each of us ordered something different, and we were genuinely impressed by how flavorful and well-prepared every dish was (yes, we all shared!).

To top it off, we ordered churros for dessert. Even my son, who is extremely picky, devoured his with a smile. The presentation was a fun surprise—they were served in a charming cart with two dipping sauces. It was the perfect ending to a wonderful meal. We will definitely be dining here more often, and I would highly recommend this restaurant to all of my aunts — who are excellent cooks of Mexican food.

It was ok. I was hoping for better flavor. My kiddo loved the kids burrito and ate all of it! Definitely expensive.
