Anchor Bar’s story began in 1964 in Buffalo, New York, when Teressa Bellissimo accidentally created the first Buffalo Chicken Wing by deep frying the chicken wings and tossing them in a secret sauce. Since then, Anchor Bar has become a globally recognized sensation, earning the James Beard Foundation’s America’s Classics Award in 2003. This Anchor Bar Location is designed as a destination for all sports fans to watch their favorite sport on multiple screen TV’s.

The service was good. Our server was very attentive and the restaurant was clean.
This is the best place for wings in Loudoun. People are too quick to leave bad reviews over minor issues. When you can get wings this good, it’s worth a visit. It’s much better than the chain restaurants and other spots I’ve tried.
The food exceeded my expectations for a sports bar. The pizza logs are a must! Super crispy and loaded with cheese; honestly, it’s hard to resist ordering another round. The buffalo flavor on the pizza and wings is spot-on, not overly spicy, but full of that classic Buffalo kick.
The Roast Beef on Weck was another highlight. The beef was tender, juicy, and full of flavor. And if you’re into mac & cheese, don’t miss the buffalo chicken mac and cheese, creamy, flavorful, and quickly became one of my favorites.
The service was fantastic. Our server was attentive, and the manager even stopped by to chat, cracking jokes and making us feel right at home. It’s clear they genuinely care about their guests.
We happened to go on a Tuesday, which was music bingo night. It was a blast, and we even got lucky and won twice!
For anyone looking for a fun spot to enjoy great food and watch a game, Anchor Bar is the place to be. Highly recommend!
I ordered 10 medium buffalo and 10 honey bourbon bbq wings with a side of blue cheese. My tastebuds immediately remembered why these OG wings are constantly voted as the best in every city that they touch down in.
The pizza logs are also a must that you have to order. I believe that this might be the best way to consume one of my favorite meals.
I love that fact it only requires one hand to achieve the perfect dipping method to get a generous marinara sauce to pizza ratio.
On 11/28 we went to eat in the restaurant, and brought our 9 month old with us. As always, the staff was friendly and attentive. Unfortunately, our wings & pizza took a substantially long time to arrive. When they did, the pizza we had asked for 1/2 pepperoni and 1/2 bbq was incorrect and was 1/2 buffalo chicken. Not a big deal, other than I don’t eat blue cheese, so my husband ate that half and we didn’t say anything because by that point we had been waiting so long and just wanted to eat and leave.
Then on 12/18 we placed an online order via DoorDash. Our friend ordered a steak Philly sandwich and it arrived rock hard and with NO CHEESE. I ordered the bbq chicken pizza and it had no bbq sauce on it. My husband got wings and they were almost inedible from being so overly crispy/ dry.
Finally, on 12/28 my husband and his friend went in to get the order ordered in store to go. Again, it took forever but they were happy to wait. The pizza we got at least was correct, but it was very hard and lacking flavor. Wings were fine. My husband also ordered a side of fries and asked twice at the store if they were in the bag, told they were, and arrived home to find NO fries.
I keep wanting to give chances hoping it’ll be back to the quality and service it once was, but my hopes are dwindling.
