My husband and I stumbled into Sunset Grille after ride out to the beach. The staff was amazing and so was the food! They have a concession stand on the first floor facing the beach as well as a full bar and restaurant upstairs. The concession closes at 3pm and the restaurant opens at 4pm. We tried both. At the restaurant as I ate my grilled pork chop from their optional buffet while looking out over Lake Michigan, I got to watch their team be creative. Some popsicles had melted in the heat, but rather than be upset they made Bombpop Margaritas . This won’t be the last time we go there…even if it’s simply to chat with the friendly staff.

Go for the view. The food is adequate but the selection is tiny. The drinks are okay. Very friendly staff. Well worth it for the sunset view past the lighthouse and over the beach volleyball courts. I don’t want you to think that I’m not enthusiastic about the place, because I am. I love the view and the beach feel. It costs $15 to get into the park unless you have a pass but you can show up after 7:30 and it’s free. The positives far outweigh the mediocre parts, so it’s recommended. And beautiful.

Had drinks on the top level overlooking the water. They do have some food but didn’t order any food. Drinks were good. Friendly staff. Does have an elevator to get to top floor. Kids welcome.

Went for the buffet with our large group! Had a great time! The musician was a doll and played T-swift for my daughter. It made her day. The owner was amazing and friendly and you could tell he really cares. Our waitress was obviously new. I liked the food. The view and breeze coming off the lake with the love music was so relaxing….until it randomly started POURING rain out of no where! Definitely an experience we won’t forget! Would definitely spend time here more if we were local.

Limited menu, you have to pay just to get into the park to go to the restaurant. That being said, the view is unbelievable. Decent selection of ice cold draft beers and a full cocktail bar. This would be 2 or 3 stars based solely on the food but let’s be honest, your not going here for the food. Had a grilled cheese with bacon and it was good and filling. Sit down on a surprisingly comfortable couch, order some drinks and watch the sunset.

They have an all you can eat buffet for $20. I recommend it. The view of Lake Michigan is unobstructed with a clear view of the whole beach and lighthouse. They also have low cost items with a burger for $10. You feel like you’re at a resort for half the costs.

My girlfriend and I loved the atmosphere of this place. The food was great, the views are breathtaking and the service is phenomenal (especially Andrew).
I’m not sure why these other folks gave bad reviews. You do have to pay $15 to park inside the park, but that’s not the restaurants fault, and parking is usually free later in the day (after 6-7).
Check this place out! It’s definitely worth it.

We ate at the concession stand, and to be honest, it was very good food. I got the breaded chicken sandwich, and it was super good and not badly priced either. The chips with cheese were pretty good; they seemed like house-made chips. The fresh fruit was a huge plate of fruit for only 4 dollars.

Average place to enjoy the dunes. Views are 5 star but we intended on going here for dinner and the menu was not adequate for dinner. There was a “summer buffet” if you’re into that. Beach bar vibes and good drinks, perfect for drinks and chilling.
