This is quintessential old school Italian Restaurant. Our server Mark was one of the best servers that we have ever had. He was so professional and had a passion for service and for the establishment.
The owner is truly kind and jolly, he always has a twinkle in his eyes, and takes pride in the restaurant. He takes the time to speak with you and males you feel special. He even came and serenaded us with his harmonica. The food is absolutely fantastic!!!! The chicken picatta was moist and crisp. The red sauce is great. The oysters are fresh and tasty!

They say that first impressions are important. Our first impression at Marottos was outstanding! The decor, cleanliness & decor alone were wonderful. The service from Mark was professional & cordial. And finally last but certainly not least, the food was perfectly prepared. We had their famous clams, broiled haddock and the scrod special, all were delicious. Great wine list too.

We’ve been here several times now and it never disappoints! Service is always excellent, attentive and the food is to die for! The raw oysters are ALWAYS shucked to perfection! No little bits or shell or anything. The tripe is so so good and dipped their bread in the sauce. Phenomenal! 10/10 recommend this place for a cute date, outside seating is a good touch

Mary O was our waitress. She and all the others were amazing. The service was outstanding and as a party of six several of us noticed and stated how impressed we were. The food was one of the best meals we had in awhile. We ordered steamed clams which were large and had great flavor. The halibut was to die for. Everyone loved it. Chicken Cesar was great. I will be back for sure, very very soon.

I would provide a better rating but for 2 things: the little neck clams were absurdly immature, and the waitress asked me what my wife would be having. The food was very good otherwise, as was the service. The chicken piccata was delicious. The atmosphere was lovely. I’ll go back and try again for those things alone. Maybe next time the dozen little neck clams (raw) will be mature enough to justify the 18 bucks.

The service and general atmosphere is wonderful. Then you add in all the great food. Its a win win. I also really appreciate being able to have tasty dishes that are gluten free. The servers and chef work with you to make sure there are choices and variety. Thank you for many enjoyable times out.

I normally do not do this because I have tremendous respect for local restaurants & I know things are tough right now.
I chose this restaurant because we wanted a nice local date night restaurant. We were pretty disappointed with our $157 bill because the steaks were not seasoned at all. They charged us $14 for 4 shrimp added to the steak, which I thought was ridiculous. The steak meals came with 3 potato wedges, 2 asparagus spears and a few slices of carrot.
The ambiance is nice and the drinks were good. The appetizers were good. But the service was slow and we were very disappointed with the high price tag considering the quality of our entrees.

Food was delicious but the decor wasn’t five star dining. I don’t know how they think they should charge so much money for such a shabby place. The kitchen doors opened to the dining room and they looked like doors out of a truck stop. I didn’t understand why the meals were so costly and they couldn’t afford the right ambience to justify the cost of the meals. Excellent food if you like shabby places to eat.
