This place is the perfect date night! From the ambient atmosphere to the friendly hostess/waitress to the food plus dessert! Everything exceeded our expectations for a tiny restaurant in a strip mall. We had Bang Bang Shrimp, Fish and fries, a side of Parmesan Truffle seasoned fries plus Tiramisu. The seafood was fresh. We’ll definitely be back. We want to try the Blue Crab Ravioli, which looked very good!

Service was excellent. We had a miscommunication about a drink but they were happy to remove it from the bill.
One of us got the Granchio pasta, which was just fine. 3 stars for the food is due to the blue crab ravioli being not very good. I’m not sure if it was an off day or what but the pasta was extremely thick and the filling was very gummy in texture, quite strange. I think the bread given could also be toasted with garlic/butter to improve taste as well, instead of just plain sliced bread.
It is pretty pricey for the quality over all but they have a cool mix of Italian and seafood with other fun things thrown in.

I didn’t know about this spot, just happened to look up Seafood restaurants near me and this little gem popped up. The food, drinks, and staff were wonderful. I got the Blue Crab Ravioli and it didn’t disappont. I also got the Pacific Rim Seafood boil to go. Will be going. The only critique I have is it’s very small inside, but overall everything was good.

Perhaps the best kept secret in this area! Wish were weren’t just passing through town, this could easily become our new favorite go to restaurant. There is a good variety of items available on the menu to suit many preferences. Every item we ordered was well seasoned, and attention to detail is given to plating as well. Beautiful presentation for each dish we received tonight! The sauces for each of our dishes had incredible depth, and truly encapsulated everything I would look for in delicious fusion style food. Our top two fav entrees tonight were the drunken noodles (the scallops in this dish were cooked to perfection) and the garlic and pepper shrimp bowl—so fresh, and savory… you may find yourself licking the bowl clean! Definitely try the calamari, and the zucchini blossoms from the appetizer menu. Service was very attentive and kind—and never once did we have empty glasses. The atmosphere was calm and relaxing, music was light and enjoyable as well. No complaints at all. Highly recommend!

We ordered the pasta granzio, Caesar salad and the fish po boy with truffle fries. Everything was incredibly fresh and perfectly seasoned. The Caesar had a beautiful light dressing and the Romaine had the perfect crunch with homemade breadcrumbs.
The pasta also had a very beautiful light rich sauce shrimp were incredible, and the clams were perfect.
The Poboy sandwich had slightly crispy, but airy and soft bread, perfectly cooked fish, and the bang bang sauce was the perfect topping. Truffle fries were outstanding.
Our server was also excellent, Regina. This will definitely be a go to place for us in the Wake Forest area. We cannot recommend it highly enough!

The food & service were good. Enjoyed the Blue Crab Ravioli & the portion size, it could’ve used just a little more seasoning for me. My hubby really enjoyed the shrimp boil although he felt like he could’ve went with a higher spice level. My favorite item was Bang Bang Shrimp, the jumbo size, the amount they give you & the sauce were absolutely perfect!!! I’ll definitely come back to try other items on the menu.

Overall, we had a nice dinner, though it felt like it was a little on the high side price point wise. The atmosphere was pleasant and we enjoyed our evening. The service was just alright, nothing bad, but nothing particularly memorable either.

The drinks tasted a bit watered down, which was disappointing. We also ordered the crab dip appetizer. It was tasty, but we were both surprised by the small portion size, especially considering it was priced like an entrée.

For our mains, we had the blue crab ravioli and the Granchio pasta. Both dishes were very nice, and we appreciated that they came with protein. We noticed that most pastas, while slightly cheaper (starting around $15), didn’t include protein, but had the option to add it for an additional $4–5.

In the end, we enjoyed our food, but for the price point, we expected a bit more in terms of portion size and overall experience. That said, we will likely be back to give it another go, but may just stick to entrées.

Hidden Gem Near Raleigh – A Must-Visit!

I had an amazing dining experience at Granchio Seafood & Pasta Restaurant in Rolesville, just 15 minutes outside of Raleigh. We ordered the sweet Asian chili and garlic parmesan wings, chicken alfredo, bang bang shrimp, and a shrimp boil with corn and potato — and everything was incredible.

The shrimp boil was honestly the best I’ve ever had. The seafood was super fresh, seasoned perfectly, and packed with flavor. The wings had the perfect crisp with bold, delicious sauces, and the alfredo was creamy and comforting. The bang bang shrimp? Spot on – crispy, spicy, and addictive.

Beyond the food, the service was exceptional. The staff were friendly, attentive, and made us feel welcome from the moment we walked in. The restaurant itself was spotless, including the bathrooms, which I always appreciate.

10/10 – Highly recommend if you’re anywhere near the Raleigh area!

Exceptional experience at Granchio. Came over from Wake Forest and so glad we did. The soft shell crab on a crab ravioli was just wow! Will definitely be back and recommend for kids to adults.
