The best pizza in SW Portland! We’ve gotten take out a lot and dined here several times – service is always super friendly. Can’t go wrong with ordering any pizza on the menu. Large variety of toppings. They’re typically busy between 5-7pm it’s never too long of a wait. Quaint, lovely atmosphere.

Highly attentive staff, great pizza and just small enough to be initmate. It had been a while since our last visit but consistently a really good experience. One suggestion…get rid of the paper napkins and replace with cloth. I know there’s a cost imapct, but it makes a difference.

We’ve only been a handful of times since the reopening but the staff and owner already recognize us as familiar. Genuinely a friendly, welcoming restaurant with fantastic pizza. I even liked this one with rhubarb – and I’m a meat guy. Salads are excellent, too. Highly recommended!

Beautiful space with delicious food. We enjoyed the kale Caesar, and have really liked every pizza we have tried. Do yourself a favor and get the pizza ketchup, it is magical.

I had the pepperoni pizza with a side of arugula. The toppings are good, but the crust was a bit too thick and soft for my tastes.

Great atmosphere and service. The pizza had great flavors but was crust was inconsistently cooked (half over cooked), a simple turn half way through cooking would’ve fixed this.

A great neighborhood restaurant and bar featuring wood fired pizzas, fantastic soups and entrees, very adventurous salads and sophisticated drinks. Highly recommended.

Definitely a hidden gem here in Multnomah Village! Some of the best pizza in town, good vegetarian options and a nice wine /cocktail list. If you’re a crust dipper, get the house made ranch and “pizza ketchup” (sounds gross but it’s actually more like hot sauce)

Tastebud was a fantastic experience. The staff is super friendly and helpful. It took us about an hour to get a table for 8, but smaller groups were seated much faster. While waiting for the pizza, we had the kale salad. It was large was enough for three people. While simple, it was delicious. The drink had everything we needed. Then the pizzas came out after about 20 or so minutes. We had ordered the Melty Mushroom and the Walla Walla. Both were unique and delicious. The crust was excellent. Soft with a nice crisp to it. The Melty Mushroom was my personal favorite. The mushrooms were fresh and the raceltte was fantastic. I highly recommend Tastebud for when you’re looking for a more unique and upscale pizza experience.

I’ve been sitting on this review for a few days now, because I feel conflicted about writing it.

Tastebud has some of the best pizza in Portland, if not *the* best pizza. Why the 4 star and why do I feel conflicted?

I purchased bagels from Tastebud this last weekend, and I couldn’t be more disappointed in them.

1. I think the bagels are made from old pizza dough which should be fine, but I don’t think they were fermented long enough; even after toasting, the consistency of the bagels are is quite dense
2. I’d guess that when they boil them, the water doesn’t have enough honey or molasses, leading to the bagels being uniformly soft, rather than having a nice outer “crust”
3. An everything bagel only having poppy seeds and sesame seeds is surely a crime somewhere in the world; at the very least throw in some onion flakes, garlic flakes, and salt

Will I go back for pizza? Yes, without question. Will I go back for bagels? Absolutely not.
