What an adorable spot! The food was fantastic, and the warm, “family-owned” vibe could be felt in every detail. Our waitress was incredibly personable and clearly part of the family—whenever we asked about the menu, she’d smile and say, “My auntie can make it however you’d like.”
The quality and care were cooked right into every dish. We enjoyed every bite and genuinely felt like valued guests, with staff who truly cared about our experience.
We’ll 100% be returning. It’s rare to find a restaurant that takes such pride in what they serve. I hope they keep it up!

So delicious! Went at lunch time and they have a really nice lunch special that change every day. I’m going to have to try each day of the week. Tortillas were great and so was the chips and salsa and main dish. Great service, server was extremely accommodating. Definitely will go back again.

Highly recommend this restaurant! They have great service and everyone is so nice and friendly! Food is delicious and very authentic, with big portions. They have a variety of aguas frescas to chose from and also their aguas preparadas with chamoy, tajin and limón are delicious that will make your mouth water! The barbacoa and menudo on weekends is a must with their homemade tortillas!

Really nice restaurant. Great service. Feels very cozy and they make you feel very welcome. We had delicious buffalo/bbq chicken wings and guacamole. You have to try their Bamazo sandwich with chorrizo.

For my Aurora area people, did y’all know that the old Pepe’s on Lake Street closed and has reopened as a small business Amaya’s restaurant?! We came after seeing it on Aurora Buzz a few weeks ago. We’ve been here twice now and both times it has been delicious! The chips and salsa, the aguas frescas (Jamaica & Piña are my favorite), the homemade tortillas, the Nachos Amayas which has both steak and shrimp… you get the point. Everything was good! Check it out soon!

Pretty cool place, went here for my mom’s birthday. I got a Torta with steak, tasted pretty great. Only issue I had was with the QR code to pay being a little finicky, other than was a nice place! Really loved the decorations!
