That’s funny. I thought we said no tomato or pickle. Twice. Underlined. Guess what we got? Tomato, pickle, not so fresh bun and a pink “medium well” burger. Oh and I had to pick some black lettuce out of my salad.

This is the restaurant inside the North Conway Grand Hotel. 1 of the reasons I chose the hotel was the lovely looking restaurant and tavern on the website. As I was unfamiliar with the area I wanted a nice place for dinner onsite.
On check-in the woman at the desk explained it was a limited menu right now and the breakfast included was pretty much grab and go.
I assumed it would still be a decent menu for dinner and the option to purchase a nicer breakfast. I was wrong on both accounts. The restaurant was actually closed at dinner time, the bartender at the tavern offered us a paper menu with scant options, not the work of a nice hotel, more on the line of a mom and pop. We walked out and had to go hunting for a real dinner.
Breakfast was a paper bag breakfast,literally. No option to buy more for breakfast. Think elementary school.
The rooms were nice and the movie theater in the basement was a great touch but…paper bag breakfast? For the price, you can do better.

Craig, the manager is very rude to his employees and ruined our experience. How dare he yell at his employees for his own mistakes, and lack of foresight. Ruined our experience and will never come back. The other staff was wonderful though.

Stay at this hotel very often but never have dinner here . Made that mistake last night and never will again . Wait staff does not care about you and no one was in the restaurant . Food was bland and they served me an espresso martini that looked curried and the waiter looked at me like I was crazy to send it back . Go to barley and salt for the same money and an absolutely great experience .

The food here was horrible!! When I went here once while staying 5 nights at the hotel above the restaurant and the service was discouraging after sending over $1,000 here. My burger I asked for well done was raw in the middle and bloody, and the cheesecake says 3 slices I only received 2, when I opened the cheesecake a fruit fly actually flew out and was stuck in my room the the entire stay despite my constant Lysol and Everclear spraying. When I first called to place my order and ask about the beer to the waitress or hostess she was so quick to yell at me that you can’t just order alcohol that I couldn’t even place my order for food that I was trying to place. $61 dollars later from dinner in the trash and i still had to go out somewhere to eat dinner.

The food was good, but didn’t knock our socks off. It’s convenient, being in the hotel, but not inexpensive. Our server, Angel, was incredibly attentive and the service was excellent.

Made the mistake of eating there tonight for the first and last time. 2 of us ordered the “special”. It was lobster ravioli. Lobster was overcooked, the wine cream sauce tasted like Alfredo, and the dishes had been sitting a while before being served – not hot at all. Another ordered the chicken sandwich. Her lettuce was brown/old? Coleslaw also looked bad – sent back. Another ordered the child’s chicken tenders. Also extremely overcooked. Received our salads with our meal? Only 1 child was happy. The other 4 people wished they ate somewhere else.

Got mozzarella sticks, a burger, salad, and drinks. Our server Romaine was fantastic, possibly the best we have ever had. He was very attentive and polite. The food was great as well as the drinks. (Edit) Got an old fashioned with knob creek, and it was delicious. If you are a fan of old fashioneds I would definitely try one. Their version has an exciting twist.

Craig, guess the manager, is very rude to employees, WE saw him shouted at the employees and made our experiences ruined. Food was like fast food and bland (I don’t even wanted to call it fast food), waited a very long time, The manager handled everything without any professionalism.
